This Shabbat, we are very excited to celebrate Nadine Grayson as she is called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah! Nadine will be the first to chant from our newly-restored Czech Holocaust scroll from The Memorial Scrolls Trust. Mazel Tov to Nadine, her parents Abby and Jeremy, her sister Annabelle, and all of their family and friends.

Nadine's Bat Mitzvah project was inspired by her interest in the history of this sacred text, which was rescued from the small village of Kostelec nad Labem after WWII. CKS has cared for it for 40 years. Nadine's chanting will bring it back to life, allowing it to be used again as living document after so much devastation.

We are thrilled to share that our very own Rabbi Jake Best Adler has been selected as a member of the fifth cohort of the Rukin Rabbinic Fellowship! This prestigious 18-month fellowship, created by 18Doors, brings together rabbis who are committed to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces for interfaith couples and families.

Through this unique learning opportunity, Rabbi Jake will continue to deepen his skills and knowledge, ensuring that our community remains a place where all individuals and families feel a true sense of belonging.

Join us in congratulating Rabbi Jake on this well-deserved honor!

We are thrilled to announce the fifth cohort of the Rukin Rabbinic Fellowship, a unique community of practice where rabbis hone their skills working with interfaith couples and families.

The Fellowship is an 18-month, one-of-a-kind learning opportunity created and sponsored by 18Doors—the national organization laser-focused on empowering people in interfaith relationships and encouraging Jewish communities to welcome them. A group of early to mid-career rabbis who desire to be more comfortable and more skilled in working with people in interfaith relationships come together to explore topics related to interfaith issues.

18Doors cultivates belonging and inclusion in Jewish spaces for people in interfaith relationships. 18Doors meets people "where they're at"—we recognize that there's no "one size fits all" approach to anyone on their personal journey or to any couple on their journey together.
