I’ve really missed attending the WOC of the UMC this year. It’s always inspirational to gather with so many diverse people who love God and are committed to serve God wherever God calls. My daughter sent me the good news below. I get to serve with the great people at BUMC for another year! This congregation serves God with their whole heart! They are willing to try new things and aren’t afraid to fail. God is present and they are growing! Come and check us out! God will meet you here and you’ll be glad you came! Praise be to God!

This week, we celebrated one of the greatest gifts bestowed upon us: the gift of the Holy Spirit. The very same Spirit that transformed fearful disciples into bold witnesses continues to be alive and at work in our midst. In the Christian tradition, Pentecost marks the day when the Holy Spirit was poured out upon Jesus' followers in Jerusalem. During our celebration, we witnessed three lives transformed through baptism, two young parents joined our congregation and four remarkable youth confirmed their commitment to deepen their relationship with Jesus and join the United Methodist Church.

Welcome to our new members, Dennis and Kristen. Congratulations to our newly baptized members: Kristen, Victoria and Scarlett. And we add blessings to our confirmation class as they continue their faith journeys: Finn, Alayna, Gilly and Oliver!

The Holy Spirit is indeed changing lives even today!
