We are aware that you may be experiencing discolored water in the parish line area. This was caused by the unauthorized use of a fire hydrant. Fire hydrants are for use by authorized personnel only. We will be flushing throughout the weekend to remedy the issue.

Just a friendly reminder to protect your pipes during these below freezing temperatures. Due to the extra pull on the system from everyone running faucets, some areas may experience discolored water. Our staff will continue monitoring the system in an effort to keep everything running smoothly. Stay warm and stay safe!

Everyone please help us congratulate Kaylan Picou on her retirement. Today was her last day working with us. It's going to be strange to walk in Monday morning and not have her there. After working side by side with someone for 19 years, they become family.

We will miss you Kaylan, but we wish you the best of everything during this next chapter of your life. You've got this!! ❤️❤️❤️

Attention Waterworks Dist #11 Customers:
Grand Lake/Sweet Lake Areas

Starting tomorrow, September 17, 2025, we will begin a major improvement project. The storage tank at our office is being replaced with a new tank. This project has been in the planning stages for several months, and we were notified that the demolition crew is ready to begin work tomorrow. This project will take five to six months to complete.

During this time, all water will be coming from our north well which will push the water to the south and branch out from there. You may experience pressures lower than normal in some areas. You will probably experience discolored water from time to time, due to the redirection of the water flow. If you experience discolored water, please contact our office at 337-598-3439 and leave a message. Please do not report it on facebook. We do not have the staff to constantly monitor social media. If we are made aware immediately, we can try to stay ahead of it. Thank you for being our eyes. We truly appreciate the help of our great community.

Attention Big Lake/Deatonville residents: We are aware of the high chlorine content on the island. The issue has been corrected, but it takes time for it to work it's way through the system. We are currently flushing, and continuing to monitor. Please remember to call our office to report any issues with the water system at 337-598-3439 or the after hours, emergency number at 337-249-0263. There is always an operator on call. Facebook is for information only. It is not a reporting mechanism. The sooner we are made aware of issues, the sooner they can be corrected. Thank you for always being such a great community.
