Box of Chocolate Gathering: Our study has been, "With or Without God---Our Week Would Be..." Without God, for the sinner, sin reigns in their mortal bodies and the passions of the flesh were aroused by the law and brought forth fruit to death. Hell is their home for eternity. They walk in darkness and fall into many traps. Sinners love evil. They are sorrowful and grieve over situations that happen in life. All their days are afflicted with evil. They have no comfort. Satan triumphs over them. Sinners fruit are bad. Wasting and destruction are in their path They will be hungry, thirsty and naked in need of everything. They fight against God and His commandments. The sinner is damaged badly by their father, satan, and will come to ruin. Sinners are bound with a yoke of bo***ge. On the other hand, a saint, who are God's redeemed people are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. Heaven is their home for eternity. Our Father guards our feet and keeps us safe. He delights in us. We hate evil. We will judge the world. The Father makes us merry. A merry heart does good like medicine. Our mourning is turned into joy and comfort and He makes us rejoice rather than sorrow. He will wipe away all tears; He puts them in a bottle. We have Holy Spirit who comforts us. Our enemy (satan) can't triumph over us unless we let him. We bear fruit worthy of repentance. Our fruit is good. We are of great worth and value, esteemed rare and precious. We are God's special treasure IF we obey His Word. We bring forth good things out of our heart. The truth makes us free. We die to sin and we are free. We are free from the law of sin and death. We are set apart for His glory. We are sanctified by truth, by God's Word, we are washed and cleansed by His Word. We are sanctified by the blood of Jesus. We are long-suffering where the sinner is impatient. We have long and patient endurance from offense. We have the ability to bear trials without grumbling. We have a friendly attitude towards others. The sinner has an inability to control their desires and actions. They are cruel, harsh and irritated easily, being provoked to anger. They are not mild. They lack kindness and sympathy. Now, which one sounds like the kind of life you want?

Box of Chocolate Gathering: Our topic is, "With or Without God---Our week would be.." Fightday (Friday)--to strive to overcome a person by blow's or weapons--to contend against. The sinner has no power to overcome the enemy. Deut. 3:22, "You must not bear them, for the Lord your God Fights for you (Christians). Does He fight for the sinner? Absolutely not! Deut. 20:4, "For the Lord your God is HE who goes with you (His people) against your enemies." What kind of fight does the Christian have? I Tim. 6:12--"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." Freeday (Friday)--not subject to the control or domination of another, not bound. The sinner is bound and hasn't been set free from satan's grips. John 8:32, "And you shall know the truth and the TRUTH shall make you FREE." John 8:36, "You shall be free indeed!" Rom. 3:24, "Being justified FREELY by His Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Rom. 6:7 8 & 22, "For he who has died has been FREED from sin. 😎 And having been set free from sin you became slaves to righteousness. v. 22) But now being set FREE from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit to holiness and the end, everlasting life." Rom. 8:2, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me FREE from the law of sin and death." Gal. 5:1, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us FREE, and DO NOT BE entangled AGAIN with a yoke of bo***ge." Shatterday (Saturday)-to damage badly-ruin. Sinners have shattered dreams. The Lord allows the sinner to be damaged or ruined by their father, satan. The Kingdom of God will never be destroyed, it will break in pieces all and consume the other kingdoms. Ps. 147:3 says, "He (God) heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (sorrows). Ps. 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart. These, O God, you will not despise." Ps. 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart." Sanctifyday (Saturday)--holiness of life and character.. John 17:17 says, "Sanctify them by your TRUTH, your Word is truth." Eph. 5:26, "That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing by the Word." I Thess. 5:23, "Now may the God of Peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Heb. 13:12, "Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate." We'll continue next week.

Box of Chocolate Gathering: Continuing on with our study, "With or Without God---Our Week Would Be..." We left off last week with Wasteday (Wednesday) and Worthday. Now on to Thirstday (Thursday)---Having a strong desire or need to drink, craving for water. Because of unbelief the sinner will be hungry, thirsty and naked and in need of everything. (Deut. 28:47 & 48). The Christian is told in Isa. 55:1--"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters..." Matt. 5:6 says, "BLESSED are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. For they SHALL be filled." John 6:35 says, we'll never hunger, never thirst. Treasureday (Thursday)--something of great worth or value. A person esteemed as rare or precious. Ex. 19:5 says, "Now therefor if you will OBEY My VOICE and KEEP My covenant (conditional), then you shall be a special TREASURE to ME above all people; for all the earth is Mine." Matt. 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matt. 12:35, "A good man out of the good TREASURE of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things." Luke 6:45 says, "For out of the abundane of the heart his mouth speaks." What is put in your heart in abundance is what comes out your mouth. Our brain is the filter. We need to cast down, stop thinking on things contrary to the Word of God as we don't want those seeds bringing forth a bad crop. 1) We have what we say according to God's Word. 2) Words are seeds, so that's why we have to NOT THINK on things contrary to God's Word. 3) You can tell what someone believes by what they say. We'll continue next week.

Box of Chocolate Gathering: Going on with, "With or Without God--Our Week Would Be.." Finishing up with Merryday (Monday). Merry is giving pleasure, delightful, cheerful, joyous. Neh. 8:10, .."do not SORROW for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Jerem. 31:13, "Then shall the virgin rejoice with dance and the young men and the old, together. For I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them, and will make them rejoice rather than SORROW." We have a Father that causes us to rejoice rather than sorrow. The sinner has a Father (satan) who wants you to be sorrowful and mourn. Tearsday (Tuesday)--act of weeping and grieving. Think of Esau, who sold His birthright. He wanted to inherit his blessing; he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance though he sought it diligently with tears. When we honor God, He will wipe away our tears (Isa. 25:8). He puts our tears in a bottle (Ps. 56:8). He delivers our eyes from tears. (Ps. 116:8). We have a Comforter, the Holy Spirit. The sinner has no comforter. Triumphday (Tuesday). Triumph--to obtain victory, conquer, celebrate victory. Ps. 41:11--"By this I know that you are well pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over me." II Corn. 2:14, "Now thanks be to God who ALWAYS leads us in triumph in Christ." Job 20:5, "That the triumphing of the wicked is SHORT, and the joy of the hyprocrites is but for a MOMENT." Wasteday (Wednesday)--kill, to be used ineffectively, not productive. Prov. 18:9 says, "He who is slothful (lazy) in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer." Isa. 59:7, "Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood, their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; WASTING and destruction are in their paths." Worthday (Wednesday)---having value or worth, honorable. We are to bear fruits worthy of repentance. (Matt. 3:8). There are two kinds of trees---one bears good fruit (Christian), one bears bad fruit (sinners). A worker is worthy of his food (Matt. 10:10). Eph. 4:1 says "I, therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called." That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." (Col. 1:10). We'll continue next week.

Box of Chocolate Gathering: We're talking about, "With or Without God--Our week would be..." We see without God (Sunday--Sinday): Sin is an offense against spiritual law. Transgression (sin) of the law of God. I John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin ALSO commits lawlessness and sin is lawlessness." Rom. 6:12 says, "Therefore DO NOT LET SIN reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lust. Sinners bear fruit to death. Sunday (Saintsday). You are either a sinner or a saint. Which are you? Which one would you benefit from the most? Lets see what Saintsday has to say. A saint is God's redeemed people. Eph. 2:19 says, "Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God." I Sam. 2:9 says, "He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked shall be silent in darkness. For by strength no man shall prevail." Ps. 16:3 God said, "As for the saints who are on the earth they are the excellent ones, in whom is ALL my delight." Ps. 37:28 says, "The Lord loves justice and does not forsake His saints." Ps. 19:10 HE preserves the souls of His saints." He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. Prov. 2:8, "He guards the paths of justice and preserves the way of His saints." Dan. 7:18-"The saints of the Most High shall receive the Kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever." I Corn. 6:2, "Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?" Next is Monday (Mournday). Mourn--to feel or express grief or sorrow. When someone dies, people mourn. Sinners go to hell when they die, and that is a sad thing. When a Christian dies, people should rejoice, knowing they are with the Lord in a better place. Ezekiel 24:16, "Son of man (talking to Ezekiel), behold I (God) will take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke. Yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, nor shall your tears run down--Ezekiels wife had died. v. 17, Sigh in silence, make no mourning for the dead. Monday (Merryday). Merry--giving pleasure, delightful, cheerful and joyous. Prov. 15:13, "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken." Prov. 15:15, "All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast." Prov. 17:22, "A merry heart does good like medicine." Neh. 8:10, "...do not sorrow for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Jeremiah 31:13, "Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance and the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them and will make them rejoice rather than sorrow We'll continue next week.

Box of Chocolate Gathering: Talking about, "With or Without God---Our week would be..." and "What is Love?" Love bears all things, believes ALL things, Hopes ALL things, ENDURES ALL things. Endurance: The ability to withstand hardship or adversity. Ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort. The act of suffering. When you "suffer" you "ENDURE." I Corn. 3:10-15, v. 14, "If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he shall receive a reward. LOVE NEVER FAILS! Love is unconditional---not based on manners or ways or someone's characteristics. 2) Love covers ALL sins (Prov. 10:12) 3) Love is laying down YOUR LIFE for someone (John 15:14). Greater love has no one than this to lay down one's life for his friends. 4) Love does no harm to his neighbor (Rom. 13:10). 5) Love of Christ compels (controls, constrains) us (which leads to service). II Corn. 5:14-21, We are a new creation. 6) Love of Christ surpasses knowledge (Eph. 3:19). 7) Love---loves their enemies (Matt. 5:44) v. 46--If you love those who love you what reward have you? Love--loves the brotherhood--(I Peter 2:17). 9) Love is keeping God's commandments (Matt. 14:15). If you love ME, keep My commandments. v. 28 He who has My commandments and KEEPS them, it is he who LOVES Me. Now on to "With or Without God--Our Week Would Be... Without God----SINDAY (Sunday)--An offense against religious or moral law---transgression of the law of God--without God. I John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness and sin is lawlessness. Not regulated or based on law, not restrained or controlled by law--unruly! Gal. 5:14 16 & 24 says, "For ALL the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." v. 16 I say then, walk (live) in the SPIRIT and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. v.24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with it's passions and desires." The Golden Rule is found in Matt. 7:12, "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the LAW and the prophets. Rom. 6:12, "Therefore DO NOT LET SIN reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in it's lust." 7:5 For When we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. v. 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. v. 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! on the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet." Read 8:25. Sinday (Sunday) people are on their way to hell, not heaven. Satan is their father, not God Jehovah. We'll continue next week.

Box of Chocolate Gathering: Continuing on with, "With or Without God--Our Week Would Be" and "What Is Love?" Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own. Not offensive in manner or action, discourteous, vulgar or lack gentleness. Rom. 14:21, "It is good neither to eat meat or drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak." Prov. 18:19, "A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city." Phil. 2:3 "Let NOTHING be done through SELFISH AMBITION or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others BETTER than himself." Love is not provoked. Provoke: To stir up purposely--to incite to anger--to arouse to a feeling or action. Luke 11:53, "And as He (Jesus) said these things to them, the scribes and Pharisees began to assail Him (to attack violently with WORDS) and to cross examine Him about many things--WHY? v. 54 lying in wait for Him and seeking to CATCH Him in something He might SAY that they might accuse Him." They provoked Jesus--Jesus didn't fall into their trap by opening His mouth and saying something that the Father didn't want Him to say. How are we to provoke one another? Heb. 10:24 says, "Let us consider one another in order to STIR up LOVE and good works." We're to stir them up to love, not stir them up purposely to anger. Love thinks no evil. EVIL: Bad character or conduct. Do you try to THINK for other people? Do you say, "You think" this or "You think that?" When in a conversation with someone, do you THINK for them saying things like 1) You think you got all the answers! or do you say "You come across as thou you have all the answers." 2) You THINK I'm stupid! Or do you ask the question, "Do you think I'm stupid?" I Peter 3:8 "Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion (love) for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted be courteous (humble). v. 9 not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were CALLED to this, that you may inherit a blessing. Love does not rejoice in iniquity (sin, wickedness) but rejoices in truth. I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." II Corn. 7:10 "For GODLY SORROW produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." Ps. 39:1 "I said I will guard my ways, lest I SIN with my TONGUE. I will REFRAIN my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked are before me." Have you repented either to the person and/or God for missing the mark, opening your mouth and sinning? Do you rejoice taking pleasure hurting others? We'll continue next week

Box of Chocolate Gathering: Our study is, "With or Without God---Our Week Would Be" and "What is Love?" Another opportunity for Jesus to take things into His own hands is found in Matt. 27:27-31. v. 27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium (the governor's headquarters) and gathered the whole garrison around Him. v. 28 and they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. v. 29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand, and they bowed the knee before Him and MOCKED Him saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" v. 31 And when they had mocked Him (treated Him with contempt, ridiculed Him, defied Him and mimicked, laughed at Him and belittled Him), Yet He didn't open His mouth to defend Himself, putting them in their place, etc. Do you practice keeping your mouth shut? I Corn. 13:2 Love does not envy--Envy means: Painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another--joined by a desire to possess the same advantage. Do you belittle someone because they have what you desire to own? Do you gossip about them and put them down in front of other people? Some people even go to the length of murder just to have something someone else has. Are YOU content? Phil. 4:11 says, "For I (Paul) have learned in whatever state I am, to be content." Also, I Tim. 6:6 & 7 says, v. 6 For godliness with contentment is GREAT GAIN. v. 7 For we brought NOTHING into the world and it is certain we can carry nothing out." I Corn. 1:3--Love does not parade itself, is not puffed up (arrogant). Arrogant means--Disposed to exaggerate one's own worth or importance in an overbearing manner. Boast with your MOUTH! Speaking words you shouldn't be saying. Matt. 6:1 & 2 says, "Take heed that you do NOT do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have your reward from your Father in heaven. v. 2 Therefore when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet (open your MOUTH and spew out words) before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from MEN. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward--From other people. Can you find scripture where Jesus puffed Himself up? Of course NOT! Phil 2:7 says, "But made Himself of NO reputation, taking the form of a bondservant and coming in the likeness of man. "So get off your high horse and humble yourself! We'll continue next week.

Box of Chocolate Gathering: We've started a new series titled, "What Is Love" and "With or Without God---Our Week Would Be." A Sunday morning service was titled, "Peter Do You Love Me?" In I Corn. 13:1, we find the love chapter. Even if you speak in tongues, one of the nine gifts of Holy Spirit, but have not love, I/you have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. Just a bunch of noise! Words that mean nothing! v. 2 And though I/you have the gift or prophesy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge and though I have all faith, but have not love, I AM NOTHING! Some people get heady because they speak in tongues, or have wisdom, knowledge and understanding or have faith so that wonders are done and mountains are removed---BIG DEAL! If you don't have LOVE and OPERATE in it, you are NOTHING! Nothing means: Something that does not exist, the absence of all magnitude or quality--zero! Someone or something of NO or slight value--worthless! v. 3 And though I bestow (give ALL my possessions) all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it PROFITS ME NOTHING! Profit means: Valuable return. To be of service or advantage. Benefit or gain. So then, what does love look like? 1) v. 4. Love SUFFERS LONG (long-suffering) and is PATIENT and KIND. Longsuffering: Long and patient endurance of offense. Are you patient and long-suffering with people? Do you BEAR trials calmly and without complaint? Are you hasty to speak your mind and take things in your own hands to handle them the way you think they should be handled? Or do you wait on the Lord, looking for direction from Him speaking when He wants you to speak. And what, if anything, He wants you to speak? Are you kind? Are you sympathetic or helpful? Sometimes someone can put us on our last nerve. We don't walk in self-control. We give people a piece of our mind--which is in the soulish realm (mind, will and emotions). We go by our EMOTIONS, feelings. We think we have to "stand up" for ourselves because nobody else will. Jesus is our example in this matter. Matt. 26:59, Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought FALSE testimony against Jesus to put Him to death. v. 6 But found none. Even though MANY false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward v. 61 And said, "This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and build it in three days." v. 62 And the high priest arose and said to Him (Jesus), "Do you answer NOTHING? What is it these men testify against you?" Jesus had an opportunity to justify himself. People are saying false things about Him. He needs to put them in their place and let them know the truth! Straighten them out! No!! Jesus was long-suffering, patient and kind. v. 63 But Jesus KEPT SILENT! We'll continue next week.

Fresh Start Ministries Sunday Morning Service: "Peter, Do You Love Me?" Finishing up. Another thing, at Christmas time, is Santa Claus. Why do we celebrate Christmas? 1) The birth of Jesus--God GAVE us the best GIFT ever---His one and only Son, Jesus. Satan has deceived the world, and many Christians unfortunately. Christians are "PARTAKING" of satan's lies and deception. 1) They lie to their children and tell them Santa's bringing them GIFTS. Really? Jesus was the perfect gift given--now satan wants people to believe he brings gifts. 2) Christians take their kids to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas, partaking in the deception of satan. 3) Christians "think" its innocent! NO! It's not innocent. Why are we giving any attention to the devil and his lies and deception? If you, as a parent, are lying to your children, that's a sin, for one. If you lie to them about Santa, the Easter bunny, tooth fairy, etc., what makes you think they'll trust what you have to say when they find out you lied to them? 4) Christians have hardened their hearts to the "TRUTH". Jesus ask, _________, Do You Love ME? Have you hardened your heart? Have you hardened your neck? Are your ears hard of hearing? Are you refusing to obey? Have you closed your eyes? James 1:22---Are you a DOER of the Word and not just a hearer only DECEIVING yourselves? Rom. 2:13--(for not the HEARERS of the law are JUST in the sight of God, but the DOERS of the law will be justified." Are we HEARING what the Father is saying to us through His Word? If so, are we OBEYING what we are hearing, or choosing what we want to obey? Are we putting the Father FIRST place? Again, I say, ________, Do You Love Me? RE: Glutton and a Drunkard--Prov. 23:2--And put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to appetite. Prov. 23:21--For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe a man with rags. I Corn. 5:11--But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a BROTHER who is 1) sexually immoral, 2) covetous, 3) an idolater, 4) a reviler, 5) a drunkard, 6) an extortioner--not even to eat with such a man. I Corn--nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkard, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. _________, Do You Love Me?

Fresh Start Ministries Sunday Morning Service: "Peter, Do You Love Me?" Continuing on, Eph. 5:26 says, "That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the WASHING of by the Word." Jesus wants to present us a glorious church without spot or wrinkle, holy and without blemish. Think of an apple---hard peel--water slips right off of it. A cracker--if soaked in water, becomes very soft. A piece of bread--absorbs waters immediately. Which one of these do you fit in? Are we giving the Father our ALL? Or are we holding back a part of us we wont' let go of? You can have some of me, but NOT ALL of me! What areas in your life are you "Holding" back from God? One thing that holds us back is tithing and offerings. Are we obedient to DO what our Father has told us to do? Christians take the Lord's money and use it for what they THINK it should be used for: 1) I have a bill I need to pay. Are they standing on the promise of God that He will meet ALL YOUR NEEDS according to His riches in heaven by Christ Jesus?" Matt. 6:37 says, "SEEK FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added to you. ___________, do you love me? Are you obedient? Are you hardening your neck, heart, closing your eyes or are your EARS hard of hearing? Are we living by what His Word tells us? 2) I have to buy gifts for an occasion--like birthday, anniversary, Christmas, wedding, baby shower, etc. We are to put God FIRST PLACE in ALL things. When Christmas time comes, is it more important to spend God's money on gifts? There can be many reasons why people ROB God. 1) Are we trying to look good in peoples eyes instead of God's eyes? 2) Do we need the praise of man more than the praise of the Father? 3) Do we want to "impress" people with the quality of a gift? Do we need acceptance from man more than from God? 4) Do we have the attitude, "Oh, I can just ask God to forgive me and it will be forgotten?" 5) Could it be also, that people have never been taught? The widow impressed Jesus MORE, by giving ALL she had rather than the rich men who put in out of their abundance. She surrendered ALL. How about you? We'll finish up next week.
