Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His faithfulness is everlasting. Psalm 136 vs 1. Another year has come and is almost gone! Take a moment and reflect on how God has blessed you this past year. We take so much for granted,take pleasure in the simple things! God’s faithfulness and love are everlasting! He wants us to have everlasting life with Him. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

On the cross the Lord said to his mother, “Woman behold your son!”
And to the disciple standing by: “Behold your Mother!”
From that time on the disciple took her to his own home! (John ch 19:26-27) When the Lord was on the cross he made provision for his mother, this shows the value that God puts on Mothers! We see this also when the Apostle Paul writes to Timothy in 2nd Timothy 1vs5 when he was recalling how Timothy learned the scriptures from his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice. Paul spoke highly of their faith! Mothers, don’t underestimate the great influence that you have on your children! Most importantly dont forget that God values you so much! Even in the pain and suffering of the cross the Lord Jesus saw his mother from the cross and made sure she was taken care of! God sees all the times that a mother makes sacrifices for her children, the many late nights, the many meals prepared, the many times she doesn’t get thanked! Don’t forget that you are valued by God!

The angel said: Why are you looking for the living one among the dead? He is not here but has risen! Luke ch24 vs 5-6. The work of the cross was finished when Christ rose from the dead! An empty tomb means a living Saviour that died for our sins on the cross and rose again just as he promised! Hallelujah Christ arose! Happy Resurrection Day!
