Little River Church

Little River Church In a broken world, we will be the family of God to our community one relationship at a time. Welcome to Little River Church! We would love to meet you!

We are meeting in person as well as offering a Facebook live stream of our Sunday morning worship. We meet on Wednesday to share a simple spaghetti dinner, prayer and discussion of God's word. We are no longer requiring the wearing of masks per the Governors most recent update and are operating as normal. Given that there is still much concern surrounding COVID-19, we do ask that if you are not fe

eling well, that you join us via our online offerings, and take time to recover prior to joining us in person. You will find a high view of the word of God in our commitment to Christ-centered expositional teaching through the books of the Bible. We emphasize discipleship, and we're committed to gaining gospel fluency. Our worship is a mix of contemporary music and hymns. Our dress is casual so come as you are. We hope you enjoy your online experience and get a taste of what Little River is all about. All are welcome here. We would love to have you join us for any of our events or services. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

Quotable Quotes: Edition 1 (May 3, 2026]

"You can’t have a supper after death unless you’re not dead anymore." [Pastor Jonathan, referencing the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus]

Join us tomorrow morning for something different. Our worship service will include a distinct focus on prayer as we engage with God in adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplication.

Curious what these mean? Our service begins at 10:30 and visitors will be met with a warm but not overwhelming welcome.

We are a small fellowship that feels more like a family than a rock concert. Come see.

We are fortunate to have (among many things) our own church property and building to use and care for. Thank you to all who came out to enjoy breakfast and work on the grounds on a beautiful Saturday!

Join us this morning (5/24) at 10:30 for worship. We believe by faith in the Biblical revelation of the Creator God who pursues his unfaithful image-bearers in love. It is right that we seek union with him and not isolation from him. We gather as a group on Sundays to share in this worship together.

Each Sunday, the service is fashioned to allow us to worship Jesus Christ, the Son of God, through fellowship, music, service-planning, generosity, prayer and attention to the Bible.

On this Sunday we will be in the third week of Pastor Jonathan's seven-week study of the church itself - not Little River per se, but God's worldwide collection of followers of Jesus - which certainly includes Little River.

This week we will consider the role of the congregation.

We love our regulars, and visitors should expect a warm but not overwhelming welcome among people who will be blessed by your presence.

Tomorrow morning, Pastor Jonathan continues his 7-week refresh on biblical ecclesiology, church leadership, church membership, church purpose/mission, etc. (what is the church, who leads the church, what does the church do, etc.)

May 17, 2024
"How does Christ lead His church?
Acts 20:17-38 with 1 Peter 5:1–5
We will consider elder plurality, shepherding, oversight and accountability to Christ.

Visitors, please show up anytime between 10 and 10:30 am for our 10:30 am worship service (which usually ends around noon).

Lord Jesus, please bring protection, healing and hope to the employees and first responders at Robbins Lumber.

We struggle with processing suffering. Give us faith to steady us when we are scared and confused.

Yesterday, Pastor Jonathan took us through Colossians 1:15-23, the take-away being that "because Christ is supreme over creation, head of the church and reconciler through the cross, we must remain steadfast in the gospel and seek fullness nowhere else."

Last Sunday, Chris led us through 1 Samuel 30. God gave David favor in recovering his wives, his possessions and additional spoil of the Amalekites. David was generous in equally distributing what God had given him.

May we all be richly generous with what God has trusted us to manage.

As we continue through 1 Samuel, Chris will lead us through chapter 30. David returns to Ziglag to find it to has been raided, burned and that his wives have been captured.

Will he ever see them again? If so, how?

What about his stuff? Will it be recovered? If so, by what means?

Our focus throughout this book is in observing the earthly kings (Saul, David) that Israel demanded.

What is their character?
What were their fears?
Where was their faith?

And, in all of this, where do we see God?

Join us for morning worship at 10:30 on May 3 as we worship Jesus through generosity, song, attention to His Word, fellowship and prayer.

Potluck meal to follow the morning service.
