Has disappointment taught you to pray small? God isn’t done.

Ephesians 3:20 says God “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think.” Paul stacks up the superlatives because ordinary words can’t hold it. God isn’t just willing. He’s able. Immeasurably, infinitely able.

But many of us have learned to pray small prayers. Past disappointments have taught us to lower our expectations to the size of our comfort, so we settle: “I’m good. This is enough.” It’s hard to expect great things from a God whose love we’ve made small.

Paul’s prayer reminds us that there are dimensions of God’s love we haven’t experienced yet: its width, length, height, and depth. As we keep returning to the cross, where His love is shown most fully, our capacity to trust Him grows. So make room. Open your heart. God says, “I’m not done. I can do more.” Let’s pray big prayers!

Two service times coming soon. You’re invited!

Over the last four months, our church has been exponentially growing and filling with new faces. We love seeing what God is doing, but we need create more room for families, children, and the next person exploring their faith.

Beginning Sunday, November 8, join Connecting Church at 9:00 or 10:45 AM. Both services are identical so you can choose the time that works for you!

Our heart is to help people connect with Jesus, community, and purpose. We’re grateful to be part of Riverside and Belcamp, and we’re praying that this next chapter helps more neighbors discover hope in Jesus and build meaningful relationships.

Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or looking for a church home, we’d love to meet you. Come with your questions, bring a friend, and join us.

As we prepare, we’re praying that Jesus helps us love our neighbors well, welcome each person with care, and point people toward Him.

This week Pastor Arie took us into Ephesians 3:14–21, one of the richest prayers in all of Scripture. Paul wrote this from a Roman jail, yet instead of discouragement, he fell to his knees, overwhelmed by the greatness of God’s plan in Jesus.

The big idea: God does above and beyond what we expect when we make room for Him in our hearts.

Here’s what we learned from Paul’s prayer:
1) We kneel before the God who created everything
2) God strengthens us from the inside out
3) Christ comes to make His home in our hearts
4) God stretches our capacity to know His love
5) We make room for the God who does exceedingly more

If disappointment has taught you to pray small, this is your reminder: God isn’t done. He’s able to do far more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Let’s pray big prayers this week!
