Greetings!

The Christian Education Team is evaluating whether we can hold in-person Vacation Bible School this summer. This assumes COVID numbers in Harford County are suitable for re-opening the building for in-person worship. We expect we would be operating under conditions similar to the way schools have been operating: with small class sizes, mask-wearing, distance, spending time outdoors when possible, and extra hand-washing. We anticipate being able to offer dancing to music, but not singing. Rather than serving snacks, we expect to meet for a shorter time and invite families to provide their own water bottles.

We need to know whether we have enough adult and youth leaders available to staff an in-person VBS program this summer. Please let us know if you are available to help by completing this survey by Sunday, April 18:

Please have each potential VBS leader in your household complete this survey. Youth who have completed 6th grade are eligible to serve as Youth VBS Leaders. Anyone age 18 or older can serve as an Adult VBS Leader. Please feel free to share this survey with friends who are interested in serving, also. VBS Leaders do not need to be members of LCGS. A background check is required for those 18 and older.

Faschnaut is right around the corner! We're not letting COVID stop us from having a fun-filled evening of fellowship and laughter. The youth will be hosting a Zoom Faschnaut on Tuesday, February 16th starting at 7:00.
What we need are family centered acts! All ages are invited to record their acts and send them to the indicated email address on the flyer below. Acts will be blended together into a show all can enjoy.
So dig out those dancing shoes, practice your vocal runs or goofy jokes and send in your video to share at Faschnaut! Let's make this event a memorable one that brings joy and laughter to all!

This community is for everyone 18-35 looking for affirming young adult community and dynamic faith conversation.

“No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town”
Our Outreach Mission Group has an opportunity for you to serve needy children right here in Harford County. Sleep In Heavenly Peace, Harford County chapter, will be joining other chapters across the nation for a National Build Day onSaturday, September 26 from 9 am to 1 pm to build simple but sturdy bunk beds for kids who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor! The build will take place at 4302 St Clair Bridge Rd. Jarrettsville MD 21084

No experience is necessary, and rest assured COVID precautions will be taken - including masks, gloves, distancing, hand sanitizer, etc. Participants range in age from 12 to 100. We are putting together a team from LCGS and would love to add you to it!

If you cannot participate in the build, here are some other ways you can support this mission:
Cash Donations - $380 will sponsor an entire bed - wood, mattress, bedding, pillows, but any amount is appreciated.
New pillows, twin sheets, other bedding materials, hand-made quilts are wonderful!
Help sponsor lunch for the event, $100 will supply pizza for all.
