Final day of Sky VBS!

No matter where you are…TRUST GOD!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9

Today’s Bible story was Jesus makes a beachside breakfast for his friends-John 21:1-14. Just like the disciples in the Bible, we fished” and caught nothing! But then we fished from the other side and caught 153 fish!!! 🤯 Jesus cooked some fish for his disciples and we enjoyed some goldfish!

During imagination station we blew bubbles which we watched fly away and reminded us that no matter where we go…trust God!

During games we had the opportunity to pull a heavy tote that represented the heavy load of fish the disciples had to pull in! Then we played ball and sidewalk chalk. Thank you God that the rains held off so we could play outside for games! 🙏

We raised $201.70 for school kits through our offering and had many supplies donated and well: notebooks, pens, pencils, colored pencils, erasers.. 👏 The cash alone should help with 20 kits and the extra supplies will make even more! 🙏 🙌

Sky VBS Day 3: No matter what happens…TRUST GOD!!

We raised $103.10 so far for school kits, and have 2 boxes of colored pencil and 2 bags of pens to send in for the school kits! 👏

In today’s Bible story Jesus died on the cross—but that wasn’t the end! Jesus rose again! Jesus is alive! We each had the opportunity to carry a cross, place black pieces in the cross, and then hold a glow stick. “For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.” Romans 8:38

During imagination station we got a quarter and had to decide if we would (hypothetically) keep the quarter, or choose another cup. One cup had nothing under it, one had $5 (and people were feeling good they picked that one…) until they realized there was a $20 underneath the other one! Then we made butterflies or painted hearts.

Snack today reminded us that nothing will separate us from God’s love…just like it’d be pretty hard to separate the chocolate syrup from the fruit dip!

During games we had an obstacle course to remind us now matter what happens (or gets in our way) TRUST GOD!

During our finale we had a visual reminder that Jesus is who connects us with God—and it made the shape of a cross! Then we reviewed the Bible story and hid a glowstick in our hands, like Jesus was in the tomb after He died, and then we waved it in the air because Jesus is alive and we get to shine and share the light of Jesus!

VBS Offering: We are joining the MCC School Kit challenge of helping contribute towards the goal of 30,000 school kits by the end of August!

There is a pencil box to put money or a backpack if you bring supplies from the list.

Sky VBS day 2️⃣!
No matter what people do…TRUST GOD!
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.” Isaiah40:31 🦅
In today’s Bible story, people were mean to Jesus—he was arrested and put on trial! The story ended with Pontiac’s Pilate washing his hands and saying he’s not responsible for whatever happens to Jesus next. Come back tomorrow to hear the rest of the story!

First day of Sky VBS was a success!
We’re learning that everything is possible with God!
No matter how you feel…TRUST GOD!
Our Bible story was from John 11– the story of Lazarus. Lazarus was sick and died. Jesus wept. Then he called Lazarus out of the tomb.
Our verse was “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.”

SkyVBS: Everything is possible with God!
Students who completed K-6 are welcome to join us. Our students who were part of our junior high group are invited to come and help out as crew leaders!
