Today we celebrate not only Independence Day, but also the 250th anniversary of the United States of America—a remarkable milestone in our nation’s history.

From sea to shining sea, may we remember the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit that have shaped our country over the past two and a half centuries. Whether you’re gathering with family, watching fireworks, enjoying a backyard barbecue, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the freedoms we share, we wish you a joyful and safe Independence Day.

Here’s to the next chapter in America’s story.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17

On this day when many across our United Methodist connection reflect on the meaning of freedom, we also remember the freeing love of God.

🕊️ May the Spirit
free you to boldly love your neighbor,
free you to serve joyfully,
free you to lead courageously with compassion.

Wherever you are in the world, may you know the freedom that comes from God’s presence. 🙏

Today on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the birth of the Church and the gift of the Holy Spirit! Just as the early disciples were empowered to speak across cultures and nations, we pray for that same boldness today.

May we be filled with the Spirit and equipped with the right words to share the wonders of God with the world around us.
