****UPDATE***Penelope has been found safe and sound. The Bee Cave Police Department would like to thank the Lake Travis ISD Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Lakeway Police Dispatch Center. Our departments working together led to the successful recovery of Penelope to reunite her with her family. Thank you also to this amazing community for your positive response, compassion, and support. Please share.

***MISSING CHILD*** The Bee Cave Police Department needs your help in locating:

Penelope Hernandez (H/F, 11 yrs old)

Penelope's mother stated that Penelope is supposed to be with a friend, but reported her missing early this morning (approximately 1:00 am) when calls to her cell phone went unanswered early to late Friday (10/10/2025). Penelope was last seen wearing light blue sleeve shirt, gray basketball shorts, unicorn backpack and a brown shoulder purse.

If you have information that could assist law enforcement in locating Penelope Hernandez, please call "911".

Bee Cave Police Officers are actively searching for Penelope and will provide updates as new information is gathered. Please talk to your children who may know Penelope and who her friends are. Penelope recently moved to our city and attends Bee Cave Middle School. Any information is crucial to helping us locate Penelope.
