Safe Harbor Community Church Pastor - Rev Jerry Parr - [email protected]

Sunday School 9:30 AM - Worship We aspire to live pure lives with humble hearts. Jerry Parr,
Pastor SHCC

Safe Harbor Community Church is a community of friends who strive to live out an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. We are ordinary people serving an extra-ordinary God. The vision of SHCC is to be a Safe Harbor for those who need Encouragement (Don't we all) in this demanding world. To be a church family that helps a person discover their own talents/gifts and give them the necessary tools

(Equip and Enable) to use those gifts. This ultimately allows us to show (Enlighten) our community the joy, peace and contentment that only Jesus can bring in ones life. Pastor Jerry combines the life changing truth of the Bible with a unique sense of humor. Jerry writes about his pulpit humor,
“There is nothing more serious than where a person will spend eternity or when a person has lost hope in their lives. I don't play games with people and God's Word.” He goes on to say, “However, at times, things happen in our lives that are humorous. I notice things in and around my life that are funny, and I just share them with the congregation. Our casual atmosphere at Safe Harbor combined with the Christ-like love our members show will put a smile on your face. I encourage you to personally experience it this Sunday."

Verse of the Day:
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (New International Version)

Quote of the Day:
The soul is the primary principle of our nourishment, sensation, movement, and understanding.

God does not answer our desperate questionings; he simply gives us himself.

Verse of the Day:
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
Galatians 5:13 (New International Version)

Quote of the Day:
Forgiveness is a strange thing. It can sometimes be easier to forgive our enemies than our friends. It can be hardest of all to forgive people we love. Like all of life’s important coping skills, the ability to forgive and the capacity to let go of resentments most likely take root very early in our lives.
- Fred Rogers
