Announcing: BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

Beginning on July 11th and 25th at 2:00, Bedford Presbyterian Church will offer a support group, led by Sherry Parker, LCSW, who will share how to move successfully through the stages of grief.

Bereavement can become one of the most difficult experiences that a person has to face. It is that time in our lives when we face the loss of a loved one—a spouse, a father or mother, a child, a family member or a friend. It is something that all of us will have to face, and as we grow older, it will become an ever increasing reality that impacts our lives.

How should we respond? There are a multitude of ways that people handle bereavement. Some of those ways are healthy and wholesome, allowing the bereaved to move on with their lives. Some are not. They lead to prolonged grief and despair that negatively impact the lives of the bereaved and sometimes even their families and friends.

Anyone who is experiencing a loss or knows of someone is welcome to become a part of this small group which will be offering encouragement and support.
