MATHEW 10 .. Not Peace but a Sword ACTUAL WORDS OF JESUS

34Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to turn
‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’i
37Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; 38and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
40He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.

the largest obstacle the church is facing is not ridicule or persecution. It is APATHY,... being so busy with life that we miss what God is saying and doing.... being so pre-occupied with "other things" that we become blind to seeing from God's perspectives. Persecution has caused the church to actually flourish, but we are warned in scripture to be on guard about becoming luke-warm. While APATHY affects the world, it is also has devastating effects on the church.
Galatians 6:9 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Hebrew 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness[f] to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Institution of the Lord’s Supper

Mathew 26... 26Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, 28for this is my blood of thec covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

ONE REASON... many people have not expressed offense at past blasphemous depictions of the Last Supper was that we have not seen the works in question... we remember the "artist" who placed a crucifix in a jar of urine.. I remember the offense of that becasue it was big news THEN... but this mockery is news NOW...

So I was getting out of my truck in Bloomington and dropped my piece of junk phone on the parking lot and shattered the screen. I've only had it for a couple of months, but I have to say I'm glad it's broke I got to get a new one. Lesson one, never buy a cheap phone. It's cheap for a reason. Now I hope I can remember that. PS if you've tried to get a hold of me it has been incredibly hard to answer this phone
