Consider Bedford Cemetery Association when doing your preneed planning. We offer single spaces and lots of 2 to 4 spaces. This cemetery allows for upright markers in most of the cemetery with a nominal one time fee. We can accommodate full burials and cremations. A local cemetery for the residents of Bedford County since 1855. We are not a big corporation forcing contracts and commitments, we are local volunteers trying to do our part and preserve a piece of history.

Lawrence Taliaferro (/ˈtɒlɪvər/ TOL-iv-ər; February 28, 1794 – January 22, 1871)[1] was a United States Army officer who served as an Indian agent at Fort Snelling, Minnesota from 1820 through 1839. He was also part of the famous African American slave Dred Scott's struggle for freedom.

The cemetery has sold lots for the last 100 years. What that being said, contact information for lot holders becomes out dated. Old addresses that people don't live at anymore, disconnected landlines. Do you or someone you know have a lot or lots at the cemetery? Because history is fascinating, the 1st page in our burial record book that we still use today in addition to our electronic records. Sad to say my penmanship isn't as elaborate. I believe this penmanship can be referred to as " roundhand"
