Yesterday was a wonderful blessing, as we officially installed Pastor Adam Triplett to serve as an elder in our church. We are thankful for God's provision and pray that He would richly bless us through Adam's ministry to our body!

This past Friday some of our young adults gathered at Moneta Park to play ultimate frisbee. It was a great time of fellowship and competition. We even had Officer Zach from the Bedford County Sheriff join us!

This Sunday we will spend our education hour discussing the Second London Baptist Confession's 26th chapter and considering the vision it lays out for the local church. Here is Dr. Sam Waldron's rich exposition of that chapter, free to read.

In chapter 26, “Of the Church,” the pastors who framed the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 devoted fifteen paragraphs to defending and explaining a Baptist, and we believe, biblical perspective of the church. This booklet entitled "The Doctrine of Christ's Church" presents Dr. Sam Waldron’s discussion of chapter 26 extracted by permission from A New Exposition of The London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689, edited by Rob Ventura. His careful commentary answers objections, clarifies the Particular Baptist viewpoints of the framers of the Confession, and grounds each major point in its scriptural foundation.

It is with both sorrow and gratitude that we share the passing of one of our beloved church matriarchs, Gladys Hoover.

For decades, Gladys was a steady testimony of faith, love, prayer, and Christlike service within our church family. Her life was marked by quiet strength, faithful devotion, and a deep love for the Lord and His people. She leaves behind a legacy that has touched countless lives and will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior whom she loved so dearly.

Please join us in praying for her family and friends during this time and in thanking God for the gift of Gladys’ life and witness.
