Thank you to our PCG Michigan District for an incredible iteration! A few years ago, when we took over the department, we were reliant on the connections made by the previous global education missionaries. This year we had the opportunity to go into the MI district and make connections for ourselves.

Every church, every pastor, and every community hosted and loved us so well. We were so honored to be welcomed, cared for, supported and as we prepare for our upcoming projects and events, we have new partners, churches, and communities praying for us!

We’re very honored that we had the opportunity to meet with our friends the Meltons, the Colemans, and the Colemans! It’s a privilege to have friends from the Michigan District, especially that of missionaries, district youth directors, general secretaries, and district bishops!

We’re certain this will not be the last time we share memories with our connections with new friends and pastors we made over the past two months, but we are deeply grateful that the MI district joined the vision of Global Education and wanted to support us!

Today, we acknowledge our National Day of Prayer. We are grateful to reside in a country where prayer is recognized, instead of reprimanded.

As we pray, take a moment reflect on the condition of the world. It's tragic to see year spanning wars displacing citizens from their homes. It's difficult to watch footage daily on tensions that are growing on a global scale. It's exhausting to wait for the Lord's eminent return when our cry is Maranatha.

But do not let your ears become deaf to the cries of injustice. Do not let your eyes be covered from the necessary. Do not let your prayers be stifled because you feel as though they have not made any effect, they have.

Prayer is powerful, and we must not allow ourselves to forget that. Let us pray without ceasing.

This March Global Education had the opportunity to travel to San Bernardino, CA. We partnered with PCG Compassion Ministries directors Willie & Anna Ulibarri. We led a group of Messenger College students to participate in an outreach to the homeless, local communities, and a college campus. Enjoy a recap from this great opportunity!

How can we grow in the spiritual discipline of prayer? Keep praying. Keep asking. Spend time with the Father & as Dallas Willard writes it will overflow into every area of our life. Take time today to pray.

This month we want to shed to The Great Commission Bible Study Guide by Anna Warren.

The Great Commission Bible Study walks the reader through the scripture of Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus gave an intentional mandate to His disciples known as the Great Commission. In this short passage - only 60 words - the Mission of God toward all of humanity is given. Every disciple of Jesus is invited to participate in His Mission. This course is a 12-lesson Bible study easily adaptable for small groups, Sunday school, or personal application. This month we take a look at God’s Smuggler by Brother Andrew. Based on a true story and full of thrill, Brother Andrew walks the reader through his journey of working undercover for God. In his book, he shares the real-life stories of smuggling Bibles into some of the most dangerous parts of the world.

If you are looking for inspiration in the journey of the Christian faith we highly recommend this read by Brother Andrew.

In the month of January, the Global Education department had the honor of attending all three of the Pentecostal Church of God’s Encounter Conference.

In just three short weeks we were present in Texas, Indiana, and California. We were able to share what Global Education has been doing and what we continue to do this upcoming year.

We had an incredible time meeting new faces and connecting with others who support us around the US. Here are a few pictures to recap the incredible opportunity.

Today along with the World Missions department we had the privilege of honoring Chrystal Rodriguez for her faithful time here at the IMC.

Chrystal began in World Missions in 2020 as an intern while she was in Messenger College. Following graduation
Chrystal first came on part-time and then became full-time working for World Missions, Native American Ministries,
and Global Education.

We are so thankful for the time she has poured into Global Education all of the surrounding departments. We love and appreciate Chrystal and are wishing her God’s very best in this next adventure!

Last year, we analyzed how God sent himself to His people throughout the Old Testament. This year, we will look at how God sent His Son, Jesus, to establish restoration and reconciliation for all people.

This month we begin by looking at the event that changed the course of human history… the sending of God’s Son to earth. Scripture walks us through the life changing encounters that people had with Christ and what a joy that we too get to experience life changing encounters with Christ.

Today millions of Disciples of Jesus are observing Ash Wednesday which begins the 40 day period of Lent. From now and until Easter, many will fast and pray to realign their focus of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Let’s take a look into the history behind the season of Lent.

May we take the time to reflect on this cultural insight that has been practiced throughout Church History.
