The facility is staffed by Shelby Warden, Director, Marsha Smith, Co-director and numerous volunteers. It is open Tuesday-Thursday an additional 2 hours on the '3rd Saturday' of each month (2nd Saturday in August). We provide a baby pantry, children and adult cl

othing, a mobile kitchen, a mobile shower unit, nutritious food boxes and hot meals to the underserved of Southern WV. Visit our website for more information, including hours of operation, drop-off hours and 3rd Saturday distribution. Families needing clothing can come to the dream center and get up to 10 items per person in the family. The clothing is sorted and hung by size so the families can easily choose the items. Fishes and Loaves is active in disaster relief both locally and nationally. We have been used as a shelter and we have a mobile kitchen which we take out during disasters to provide hot meals to rescue workers and the people affected by the disaster plus a mobile shower unit and clothing unit. The mobile kitchen is also used in the low income areas during the summer months to provide a hot meal for the children living in these areas.

It is with heavy hearts that Beckley Dream Center announces that we have lost one of our own. Blenda Branham Wicker passed into the streets of Glory May 6! She and Wayne have been a blessing to the Dream Center for over 30 years in numerous capacities. She has faithfully served on our Board of Directors for a number of years. She provided the entertainment for our Comedy Dinner Theater. Blenda, Wayne, James Snuffer, and Janet Snuffer have beautifully decorated the Dream Center each year at Christmas for more seasons than I can remember. She is probably helping God redecorate and having James build the props! Ha!

To say Blenda will be missed is a gross understatement. She and Wayne have stood beside and worked beside Shelby Warden and me since the late 1980s. They were “family “, not by blood but “family “ none the less!

The Dream Center will never be the same because of her and never be the same without her!

As the old song says, “ I have more to go to Heaven for than I did yesterday!”
