It’s our 6 year anniversary!! What an amazing journey it has been. I remember when we first launched and we didn’t even know the full vision, but knew GOD said go.
In the past 6 years there have been some amazing efforts to help those struggling.
We’ve had the honor of holding 3 annual community recovery events in Parkersburg called The Movement. We haven’t had one since covid hit but we’re planning on re-launching this spring! 🔥
In 2019 we tooo High On Hope and a team of people along with Pastor Tim Burch and 14th Ave. Gospel Mission to the Philippines 🇵🇭 we established efforts there and to this day Pastor Rem is still pouring into the “surrenderees” in Aparri. What an experience. I couldn’t have dreamed of things like this.
We not only have High On Hope active and alive in Parkersburg, but now we also have the same effort in Beckley, WV. It’s been amazing what Indie, Jesse, and Pastor Greg have done there. Austin Alexander is currently our director in Parkersburg, but has a heart to pour into both of them. Through his and other peoples efforts they have raised up multiple worship members.
We have held 7 events in 7 different WV counties we called Equip The City. This event was designed to help churches and community members be better equipped for the drug crisis that every body of people are facing. We’ve seen a lot of fruit from this effort.
We have had the opportunity to share at probably close to 100 different churches over the years. The cool thing about this ministry is that it isn’t about theology or denomination, it’s just to help anyone struggling. Because of that we would like to think that we have been able to bring a little more unity to the body of Christ.
We also had the honor of being apart of 9 faith based conferences addressing the drug crisis in WV along with AG Patrick Morrisey and his awesome team. We’re so thankful for that honor.
We’ve also had the honor of helping several hundred and possibly in the thousands find treatment. We focused and still focus on helping folks find the best option for treatment when they reach out us.
Because of HOH there have been many beautiful things birthed from this. Those things are The Reach United church, Angel’s Harbor womens treatment center, and we have helped other people in other towns establish similar ministries to this one. We have also held a faith driven weekly meeting for almost 6 years in Parkersburg, and over a year in Beckley.
And the thing we are most proud of accomplishment is helping hundreds of people find Jesus which led to their freedom. There’s people that have been apart of this effort since the beginning.
We want to thank Pastor Janet Richards and Downtown Bethel Equipping Center for giving us a chance, and not only that, but equipping us and believing in us. We were constantly told we would change the world from that house. Eventually we began to believe that GOD really could use us to change it. We’re so thankful for being raised up and empowered to go do what we were called to do. If we weren’t raised in that empowering environment we wouldn’t have been who we are today.
For a season we even had a branch of our ministry in Murphy, NC.
We say all of that to say thank you. Thank you Mid Ohio Valley for giving us a space to try to help our community. Thank you to the body of Christ here who has supported us, prayed for us, and been there through it all. Our prayer is that this ministry is around for generations to help the communities GOD called us to.
