’Twas the weekend before school, and all through the halls,
The classrooms were ready, with signs on the walls.
The desks had been placed, the supplies put away,
The school was just waiting for that first big day.

The teachers were praying, their hearts full of cheer,
Asking God to guide every student this year.
The pencils were sharpened, the lesson plans set,
And maybe a few things were still being prepped yet. 😉

The lockers stood waiting, the playground was still,
The school was so quiet…almost a little too still.
But this week will bring all the laughter and noise,
The smiles, the backpacks, the girls and the boys.

We’ve prayed for these students, we’ve prayed for their days,
For wisdom and kindness and hearts turned to praise.
We’ve prayed for our teachers, for strength from above,
To lead with compassion, with patience and love.

And from our school’s heart, there’s one thing we know:
God has been faithful each step of the road.
This week we’ll open our doors with delight,
Ready to welcome our students with joy and excite.

So rest well, dear families, the first day is near
A brand-new school year is finally here!
May God bless our classrooms, our teachers, our crew,
And every precious student He’s entrusted to us, too.

We are SO excited to welcome our students back next week! Today our teachers spent the day preparing their hearts, minds, and skills for the year ahead including CPR, AED & First Aid training. We’re ready to love, teach, and serve our students well!

We are so excited to welcome our Calvary Chapel Academy families back for another school year! There is something so special about standing at the beginning of a new year and knowing that God has entrusted us with the opportunity to teach, encourage, and pour into your children. It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly, and we are truly looking forward to all that this year holds.

Join us in the Main Sanctuary at 6:45 PM for a special welcome and some important information as we begin our year together.

Afterward, parents and kiddos can head to their classrooms to meet their teachers, find their lockers, get settled, and ask any questions they may have. We want you to feel at home, prepared, and excited for the year ahead! Stop by the fellowship hall foyer for our Photo Booth put together by our PTA.

We have been praying over this school year, our teachers, our families, and especially each of your children. What a privilege it is to do this together! 💙

Our Giving Tree runs through Monday, and we have been so incredibly blessed by the outpouring of generosity from our church and school community! Thank you to everyone who has already helped provide items for our classrooms. Your generosity truly makes a difference.

If you’d still like to bless a classroom, there are still a few items remaining on our Amazon Wish List. Our greatest needs right now are watercolor paints, artist paper, literature books, and recorders.

Every item, big or small, is a blessing to our teachers and students. Thank you for investing in Calvary Chapel Academy and helping us provide the very best for our classrooms!

The summer projects are starting to wrap up, and our classrooms are slowly coming together! We can’t wait to see these classrooms filled with our Calvary Chapel Academy family again! We’re getting closer and closer to welcoming everyone back for another wonderful year.

We can’t wait until back to school night! September 1st!

Right now the classrooms look more like organized chaos than a school! Desks are moved, shelves are emptied, supplies are everywhere… but little by little, they’re coming together and getting ready for another incredible year.
