Today, our worship was led by voices from across the African diaspora: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and beyond. Singing in English and Swahili, we were reminded that God’s praise has many languages, but one Spirit. Merry Christmas To All!

Pulling the first part of Galatians 4:4 and picking up the last part of Galatians 4:5 we read, "But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman...that we might receive adoption as sons and daughters." Because of Christmas we can be adopted as God's children making us family! May God's grace and mercy be with us all.

As we head into Thanksgiving, our church family is feeling extra grateful for our young people. They’ve been showing us what real faith looks like, not just on paper, but in practice.

This month our Jr. High Sabbath School class stepped up and led an entire vespers service. They taught, prayed, shared music, told jokes and basically reminded the adults that the future of the church is already leading… and doing a pretty great job at it.

And then there’s our Primary class. After hearing Pastor Jack preach about compassion and helping others, they didn’t even wait for dismissal. They sprinted...joyfully, energetically, adorably...straight to the Fellowship Hall and began assembling lunches for our homeless feeding ministry. No committee meetings. No debate. Just pure kid-powered mission. (At least that’s how we saw it. 😉)

We’re thankful for these young hearts who show us what love looks like with sneakers on. Happy Thanksgiving from your Beaverton Adventist family. 🧡
