Not all screen time is created equal!

Low-stimulation shows, like PB&J Otter, are slower, calmer, and gentler on little brains. The pacing is soft, the colors are muted, and the stories are simple💗👏🏼

Which helps kids process what they’re seeing without feeling overstimulated. These kinds of shows support focus, emotional regulation, and even social skills, because children can pay attention to problem-solving, teamwork, and kindness in a way that fast-paced, flashy shows often don’t allow.

Little Bear, Oswald, The Berenstain Bears and Franklin are such underrated, non-stimulating shows.

Soft colors.
No fast cuts.
Slow paced.
Gentle music.
No chaotic, fast cuts.

Shows that don’t overwhelm little nervous systems.

They leave space for imagination, connection, and calm. They don’t demand constant attention or overstimulate developing brains. They simply tell a story.

Sometimes slower is better. Sometimes quieter is healthier. And sometimes, the best shows are the ones that feel like a deep breath. 🤍
