New Hope at Duke’s Chapel, Inc. Where the Vertical and Horizontal Relationships Cross! Pastor: David Renner We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. What is at the heart of the cross?

We are a Bible based Community Church that preaches, teaches, and seeks the word of God for guidance, direction, and instruction for life and for the life of the church. As the scriptures say, "He is the truth, the way, and the life" (John 14: 6). His life and teachings are what we try to model as a community. At the heart of God's message, we believe, is to live by forgiveness and grace which is

the only way to truly be successful as a church and as a Christian. We believe that Jesus' life and the entire Bible point to our relationship with God (our vertical relationship) being very much tied into our relationship to one another (our horizontal relationships, which is, our relationships on earth). If you draw these two out, they form a cross. Jesus Christ. We strive to follow the great commandment which is "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22: 37-40). This is the foundation of this church. We are a community that comes together on Sunday morning as broken people to worship God and to learn. We have a Wednesday Night Fellowship/Bible Study/Prayer Meeting at 6:30 PM that is open to all who wish to come and are thirsty to learn more about what the Bible has to say about God, ourselves, and our relationships. This location changes occasionally, so message us if you would like directions. Hopefully this gives you a quick glimpse as to what our Community is all about. Thank you for your interest and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
