Happy Independence Day
As we celebrate our nation here in the United States I pray for the safety of our families.
We are free to work where we please and worship where we please.
We are free to preach the word of God.
We have the chance to see and talk to people we don’t usually get to see or talk to this weekend. Freedom is a great conversation starter. Are we really free?

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Remember the ones we get to talk to? Are they free?

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Be the voice that God uses to bring a new family member into the Kingdom of God.

THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM THE RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES,
AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.
Luke 4:18-19

These are words of Jesus. He lives and so does His ministry. We are to continue His ministry and preach to the poor, release the captives in Jesus name, restore sight to the blind in Jesus name, set free the oppressed in Jesus name, and proclaim the favorable year of the Lord in Jesus name. Proclaim salvation in Jesus.
This is all for Jesus. It isn’t for our own personal gain but for His. Everything we do needs to be done in Jesus name. He is worthy of our praise and us taking the backseat. Let Him lead as you minister to coworkers, friends, and family. Let Him lead as you go out through the cities and show what a Christian is.
We used to have WWJD bracelets everywhere. WE need to be mindful of that but also ask Him what he would want us to do if we aren’t sure. Do as Jesus does. Love as Jesus loves.

Holy Spirit, help us today to be sensitive to your direction as we navigate through the hours.
