A lawn full of laughter, a few brave rounds of water games, and hearts full of possibility. 🍦☀️

This past Sunday turned into a cooler-than-expected night, but it didn't stop familiar faces from showing up for each other, making space for new youth, and bringing a lot of energy to our Welcome New Youth + Summer Kickoff. Grateful for everyone who came out, jumped in, and helped make it a really welcoming night. Hope to see some of those new faces back with us again soon!

🎨 What a Day on the Riverwalk! 🎨

Thank you to everyone who helped make the inaugural Chalk the Riverwalk a success!

On Saturday, June 13, 19 artists transformed approximately 200 feet of the Rotary Riverwalk into a vibrant outdoor gallery as part of the WI Arts & Peony Festival. Artists traveled from as far away as Madison and Janesville, while visitors came from throughout the region to watch the artwork come to life.

From whimsical creations and colorful peonies to stunning displays of technique and imagination, every artist brought something unique to the competition. We are grateful to the six youth artists and thirteen adult artists who shared their talents with our community.

A special thank you goes to our sponsors, volunteers, judges, the Beaver Dam Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, City of Beaver Dam staff, and everyone who stopped by to encourage the artists and vote for the People's Choice Award.

If you haven't had a chance to see the artwork yet, take a stroll along the Riverwalk between Mill Street and the Water Tower before the next rainstorm washes these temporary masterpieces away.

We're already looking forward to Chalk the Riverwalk 2027 on the first Saturday in June!

Sharing God's Love Beyond the Community
Tom and Denise have the car loaded and are ready to deliver another special donation to Midwest Mission!
This shipment includes 6 completed sleeping mats from the Sleeping Mat Ministry at Trinity Church, lovingly created from recycled plastic shopping bags, along with two boxes containing 23 "Cover Them With Love" quilts. The quilts were beautifully crafted by Denise using fabric generously donated by many members of the community.
Before they are shipped, each mat and quilt will be tagged so they can be tracked where they are sent and the communities they will eventually serve. It is exciting to know that these gifts of comfort, care, and compassion will soon be touching lives far beyond our local area.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated materials, helped create these items, and supported these ministries. Together, we are sharing God's love with people we may never meet, but who will know they are cared for.
The other photos in this post show the ladies preparing plastic shopping bags to be cut into "plarn" (plastic yarn) and woven into sleeping mats. What begins as an ordinary grocery bag is transformed into a practical gift that provides comfort and hope for someone in need.

Calling all breakfast lovers! Grab a friend, bring your appetite, and join us for a morning of good food, great conversation, and plenty of laughter.

Kelly is excited to welcome everyone to Let’s Eat on Friday, July 3 at 9:00 AM at IHOP/Applebee’s in Beaver Dam.

This popular local favorite offers a large menu, friendly service, and something for everyone. Whether you're craving pancakes, eggs, bacon, or something completely different, you'll find plenty of delicious options to enjoy.

Everyone pays their own way, so order whatever makes you happy. Best of all, they do the cooking and the dishes... now that's a recipe for a great morning!

🎨 UPDATE: The Beaver Dam Chalk Art Competition is FULL! 🎨

Wow! All 20 artist spaces have been claimed for the June 13 competition during the WI Arts & Peony Festival.

If you missed registration, don't give up just yet. We're creating a waiting list in case any openings become available. To be added to the list, email [email protected].

📅 Event Schedule – Saturday, June 13
🕘 Registration opens: 9:00 AM
✏️ Drawing time: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
🏆 Judging begins: 3:00 PM
🎉 Winners announced: 4:00 PM

Come cheer on our artists along the Rotary Riverwalk by the Peony Garden and watch the sidewalk transform into a colorful outdoor gallery!
