For those who have followed Donna's Farm over the years, Thank You.
After more than a decade of growing vegetables and flowers for our community, we made the difficult decision to close the farm in June 2024.
While the farm is no longer operating, the lessons, experiences, and memories from those years are something I will always carry with me.
I've spent a lot of time wondering what to do with this page. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that my favorite part of farming was never just growing the crops. It was helping people learn how to grow their own food, sharing recipes, talking with customers at market, and building community around food and agriculture.
Those conversations were always the highlight of my week.
So instead of letting this page fade away, I've decided to use it to continue sharing what I've learned over the years as a farmer, chef, and now a teacher.
Going forward you'll find:
🌱 Gardening tips and seasonal growing advice
🍅 Vegetable spotlights and growing guides
🌻 Flower growing and cut flower tips
🍳 Recipes, cooking techniques, and seasonal eating
📖 Stories and lessons learned from life on the farm
👨🏫 Practical skills from the garden and kitchen
Whether you're growing your first tomato plant, feeding your family from a backyard garden, or simply trying to learn something new, I hope you'll find something useful here.
The farm may be closed, but the mission remains the same:
Helping people grow, cook, and live a little more seasonally.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
