Truth. Many times it seems that people use the word without fully understanding its true context. It goes beyond not telling lies, beyond confessing the wrongs you have said and done to others.
You attempt to make things right, with all parties knowing that we cannot turn back time and undo what we have done. You are raw, sincere, honest in your attempt.
You accept responsibility!
Telling the truth often comes with its share of controversies, but take the bad with the good. The truth shows your commitment to do as God has commanded. It shows your respect for others. You become respected, trustworthy, a person people seek in dire situations, one upon which people can depend for honest opinions and truthful reprimands.
So it is always, always difficult to see people stand before the people and not practice what they preach. “You do right”, “You don’t lie, cheat or steal”, that’s what they say, but they are not holding themselves to that same standard.
It’s a sad reality.
Beware people, beware.
Know that wolves in sheep’s clothing are everywhere, hiding a darkness behind their look, and the words they speak.
Know that God will take care of you as you continue to be honest in all of your words and deeds, just as He will take care of those who are not.
