Learn Not To Say Anything!
It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever had people attempt to assassinate your character? It appeared as if they were doing all they could to destroy your “good” name. It seemed as if they were doing all they could to rally people against you. It seemed as if they were determined to see you fall. No matter what it took, they seemed to be motivated to see your destruction come to pass. Have you ever found yourself being interrogated by people because they assumed your confession of Christ was insincere? They questioned your testimony. They asked your praise and worship. They asked your relationship with the Lord. Since you do not fit the profile of a Christian, based on their profile, they feel the need to judge everything you do. Have you ever been there? Are you there now?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. Whether it has happened to you or not, there comes a time in each of our lives when we find ourselves being falsely labeled. Since people do not honestly know you, they quickly judge you. It is incredible to think and see how people can jealous another person without ever getting to see that person. Because you have a particular car, they dislike you. Because you were blessed to get the promotion, they dislike you. Because your gifts continue to make room for you, they despise you. Do you realize some of your most significant opposition and competition may come from people within the body of Christ? As sad as it is, this is a true statement. Everyone is not happy to see how God keeps on blessing you. They do not understand what it is about you that keeps doors opening in your life. My friend, when they are seeking to find something negative about you … Learn Not To Say Anything! The Bible declares in Job 27:4 - My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my utter tongue deceit.
My brother, my sister, when you know you are walking in the ways of God, you need not waste time trying to defend yourself. When you know you are doing all God requires of you, do not waste your energy on people who would instead step on you. When you know you are doing the work of God, do not feel the need to stroke man’s ego. Beloved, no matter what you do, someone will always have something negative to say. They will find the slightest thing to gripe about. Please do not feel bad because it is your season of overflow. You owe no man an apology. If they have a problem, tell them to talk to your Father. He’s the one blessing you like this. Child of God, when everyone around you is moaning and complaining, Learn Not To Say Anything! When you learn every question does not need an answer, you will grow more. When you realize God will defend you against false claims, you stop trying to hold press conferences. The Bible declares in Psalm 34:13 - Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Scripture Reading for Today: James 3, Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
3 When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the captain wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
