Church Family the recent ruling by the Supreme Court concerning legalizing a redefinition of marriage has been predicted by legal scholars to pose a threat to religious liberty and people of faith being able to exercise their conscience. Last week, in both houses of Congress a bill was introduced called “Equality Act.” This bill adds the phrase “sexual orientation and gender identity” to more or less every federal law that has protections on the basis of race. If the bill ever became law, the government would treat ordinary Americans who believe we are created male and female, and that male and female are created for each other in marriage, as if they were racists. If the rights of conscience and religious liberty for individuals, small business owners, and parochial schools are not protected -- the church will soon be the next causality.
