This weekend the Lowcountry (St James Orthodox Church, Beaufort, SC) and the Coastal Empire (St Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, Rincon, GA) welcomed His Grace, Gerasim, Bishop of Fort Worth (OCA, Diocese of the South) to our parishes. It was a great joy!

Christ is born!

Sunday, December 28th, St James welcomed Fr John Parker and Matushka Jeanette back to our mission during their holiday visit to the South. Fr John served the Liturgy and offered a truly excellent homily, reminding us of Christ's Kingship and God's mercy, entering into the world when it was at its darkest, and bringing His Light into that darkness. We were grateful for their visit and their true encouragement to our mission parish, which they founded over a decade ago. May God grant them many years and a blessed Feast!
