Thought for the week:
As we read the proverbs this week hopefully you are beginning to think first and respond after to the things that life throws at you. Listen better, respond gentler, think about what is really happening, remember our war is not against people it’s against the spiritual realms. The Devil wants us to get caught up in the right now and forget that there is a much bigger picture. Letting the Holy Spirit have a place in our decision making cannot be a bad thing. If everything we do we ask what is the right way to do the right thing? Know that we are never going to be perfect, but we can do much better if we try. Share your kindness to as many as you can. Thought for the week:
This week we read about some of God’s right ways to do things. They all begin with knowing who God is and trusting that what he tells you is right. I wonder why we have such a problem believing that God knows better and wants only good to happen to us. We read this week that it is better to be generous than to be stingy. That if we work as if God himself was working with us, we will be more successful. We learned that when we are doing the right thing we don’t have to worry or be afraid. We learned that anger would get us nowhere, but a gentle word will calm the situation. We also learned that it isn’t wise to speak before we listen. I don’t think any of us would try and argue with God about these things, so let’s agree to try and make them a part of our lifestyle. As we read this week we should talk about these things and keep them ever on our mind. Then we can share this wonderful way to live with others who seem to have never heard these things before. Enjoy living the Christian life. Amen.
