Thank you to everyone who came to the Fall Party at Appalachian Ministries! We enjoyed a successful clothing giveaway with crafts and a cookout.

A special thank you to Sherry Kincaid for the fall family portraits.

Thanks to Community Harvest (Germantown OH) for the volunteers and their hard work for the week. They posted a sign at the giveaway that asked if anyone needed prayer. I see God’s love that shines through the young people of their congregation and I have confidence in their ability to pray!

Karen Caldwell of the Lee County KY Faith & Food Network had a booth to sign up families for a new outreach coming to Lee and Owsley Counties. We are excited to work with Karen to relieve hunger in eastern Kentucky as well as assist with additional
needed items for families.

I’m also including photos of the new building that was recently delivered! Oh and to explain the stickers— today was Mustache Day!

So grateful for our community. I love you!

It’s October! We have been busy with outreach from donations to sort and deliver, to construction projects and siding on our shower house, to purchasing a school building, to preparing for Christmas presents distribution. This is a busy mission site and we value our donors and volunteers. Get involved! We NEED you!

In the spring I entered into an agreement to purchase a repo building to use as a school. Before funding could be secured the seller sold the building.

Summer school was a huge success using the existing lodge and library for classes. As the fall semester started we found a great deal and have signed a contract to purchase the repo shown in the photos.

We are thrilled! If you pledged toward the school we hope you fulfill your commitment. If you would like to give we could use the help! Our little home school co op is a light in the community. I have posted student photos before but I’ll include them with this post as well and request you share our post to raise funds to pay off our school house in 90 days and not have the burden of payments and interest.

What a fun adventure this has been. Support Appalachian Academy with donations to
Appalachian Ministries.
