Father’s Day at Beattyville Baptist Church:
We had a meaningful and spirit-filled Father’s Day service today at Beattyville Baptist Church.

The Hilltop Pickers played two moving songs: “Help Is On the Way” and “By and By When the Morning Comes.”

Fathers in attendance were honored with a special table of gifts to choose from—including fishing line, flashlights, shop towels, ink pens, pocket knives, and even a few small cans of WD-40.

Brother Terry Leach delivered the message from 2 Samuel, telling the story of King David and his son Absalom—a story full of injustice, vengeance, and the tragic consequences of unchecked ambition. Despite Absalom rising against him and leading an army in rebellion, David’s love for his son never faded. Even in battle, he instructed his generals to deal gently with Absalom. And when the news of Absalom’s death reached him, David mourned deeply, crying, “O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!”

It was a heartfelt reminder of a father’s love, even in the face of heartbreak. 💙

Happy Father’s Day to all the men who lead with strength, patience, and compassion.
