We are incredibly proud of Fr. Geevarghese, Fr. Thomas, and Dn. Solomon on their ordinations and give thanks to God for their faithful commitment to His Church. We are also grateful to St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary for helping form and prepare these servants for ministry. May God continue to strengthen them as they labor in His vineyard. ¡La paz de Cristo! From June 25th to July 2nd, one of the first groups of laypeople from the Malankara Orthodox Church in the United States had the blessing of participating in the Malankara Orthodox Mission in Quito and Santo Domingo, Ecuador. The mission included clergy training, baptisms, medical and dental service, food distribution, fellowship, and many other works of love and service. We are deeply grateful to God for the opportunity to serve alongside our Orthodox faithful in Ecuador and to witness the growth of the Holy Church there. As with any new and growing parish, let us continue to support them through our prayers, encouragement, and service. May God be with our Orthodox faithful in Ecuador. Gloria a Dios!

The annual West Region FOCUS Lenten Retreat was conducted at the St. Gregory Orthodox Monastery in Tehachapi, California from Friday, March 20th to Sunday, March 22nd. The retreat was lead by Rev. Fr. Samuel Varghese. The retreat centered on spiritual restoration and edification through the Lenten Prayers, spiritual readings, silence, and discussion. The Holy Qurbana was celebrated on Saturday, March 21st by Rev. Fr. Matthew (Basali) Mathew and on Sunday, March 22nd by Rev. Fr. Matthew Poozhikunnel.
