LIVING ON GOD'S TIME
Psalm 25:12
“Who, then, are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.”
Christians have the choice of facing difficult decisions and choices from one or two ways. We can either stress ourselves out with fear, worry and uncertainty, or have an attitude of faith, confidence, patience and trust. If we’re standing strong in our faith and taking God at His Word, then we should know that God is willing and very able to give us clear direction in every situation. However, there are some who fail to seek and wait for God’s guidance – which in turn causes them to experience a lot of uncertainty, confusion, frustration, isolation, inadequacy, and the fear of making a wrong choice. These feelings and emotions prevent many people from taking advantage of great opportunities that God might send their way. Other people miss out because they go rushing blindly ahead of God and just hope everything works out for the best. They choose their own direction and their own path instead waiting on the Lord to give them the instruction they need through His Word. A lack of confidence and patience will always hinder our spiritual growth and maturity, because we’re not truly giving God the opportunity to prove Himself before we take matters into our own hands. The time we spend waiting for resolution and breakthrough is not something we should drudge through with a negative attitude. Because if we’re required to wait, that means that we’re on God’s time schedule. That’s something to be excited about, because through the process, He’s doing what’s necessary to make us better people so that we can live a better life.
