WOW, GOD! ✋🤚 How has it already been a whole month since Vacation Bible School? ☀️🌴🐒🐸

We had the adventure of a lifetime at Rainforest Falls learning about the nature of God’s character. Thank you Lord for creating this world and everything in it so beautifully, including us!

We are grateful that you entrusted your children with us to teach them, play with them, and pray for them. As the adventure of life goes on, know that you are loved by the creator of the universe! Be blessed and be a blessing 🫶

You Are Part of a Bigger Story

Devotional
It is easy to look at your life and see only your chapter. The struggle you are in right now. The promise that has not arrived yet. The season that feels like it has gone on too long. But you are part of something much larger than your current moment.

Every battle Israel fought, every year of waiting, every hard and confusing chapter was part of God's larger rescue mission for all of humanity. He was working through history to bring the Messiah into the world and make a way for every person to be with Him forever. The story was always bigger than any one moment. Your story is bigger too. God has been pursuing you. He has been working in your life, through the detours and the delays, with one goal in mind: to bring you home to Him.

The same God who was faithful to Joshua is faithful to you. His love, His mercy, and His grace are not in question. He is righteous and just, loving and faithful, and that is who He is all the time. You are not forgotten. You are not an afterthought. You are part of the story God has been telling since the beginning, and He is not finished yet.

Bible Verse
"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
- Philippians 2:9-11

Reflection Question
How does knowing that your life is part of God's larger redemptive story change the way you see your current season?

Quote
"God has been on a rescue mission, coming after you and me to make a way for us to be with Him forever in heaven. The plan of God has always been to redeem mankind and to save His children no matter the cost."

Prayer
Lord, thank You for pursuing me and making me part of Your story. Help me to live with confidence, knowing that You are faithful and that Your plans for me are good.
Amen.

Get Ready for What God Is About to Do

Devotional
Before Israel crossed the Jordan River, Joshua gave the people a simple but powerful instruction: consecrate yourselves, because tomorrow God is going to do something amazing. In other words, get ready. Prepare your heart. What is coming requires something from you.

That is still true today. God wants to move in your life, but He invites you to show up prepared. Consecrating yourself is not about being perfect. It is about being intentional. It is about clearing out what does not belong and making room for what God wants to do. Here is a question worth sitting with: if you truly expected God to answer your prayers, would you live any differently today? Would you pray with more confidence? Would you step out with more courage? Would you let go of the things you have been holding onto too tightly?

Expectation changes how you live. When you genuinely believe God is going to move, you start preparing for it instead of just hoping for it. God is not done with you. He is not done with your situation. Prepare your heart, and watch what He does.

Bible Verse
"Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you."
- Joshua 3:5

Reflection Question
What is one area of your life where you need to prepare your heart and truly expect God to move?

Quote
"Consecrate yourself, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you."

Prayer
Lord, I want to live with genuine expectation. Help me to consecrate my heart today and trust that You are ready to do something amazing in my life.
Amen.

The Wait Is Not Wasted

Devotional
Waiting is hard. There is no way around it. When you are in the middle of a delay, it rarely feels productive. It feels like nothing is happening. But God sees it differently. The promise made to Abraham was not fulfilled for nearly 600 years. That is not a typo. Six hundred years of God working, shaping, and preparing His people before the moment arrived. Every detour had a purpose. Every difficult season was doing something in them that the destination alone could not.

God is not wasting your waiting season either. He is using it. The tension you feel right now, the unanswered prayers, the delays that make no sense, God is working through all of it. He is developing something in you that could not be built any other way. Patience. Trust. Character. Faith that has been tested and proven real. You are not stuck. You are being prepared.

The destination is still coming. But God has big plans for the journey, and He is not going to let a single moment of it go to waste.

Bible Verse
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take courage and wait for the Lord."
- Psalms 27:13-14

Reflection Question
What might God be developing in you during this season of waiting that you could not receive any other way?

Quote
"God is leading you to a destination, but He has big plans for the journey. God is going to use every detour, every traffic jam, every flat tire. He will use all that tension, all that trouble, all the wind, the rain, the storms, and all the stops along the way to develop you, to teach you, mold you, shape you, refine you, and prepare you for the destination that he is taking you to."

Prayer
Father, help me to trust You in the waiting. Teach me to see delays not as setbacks but as preparation, and give me the courage to keep believing.
Amen.

God Always Keeps His Word

Devotional
Have you ever been handed a promise and then watched the years go by with no sign of it coming true? You start to wonder if you misheard, if something went wrong, or if God simply forgot. He did not forget.

The Israelites waited generations for the land God promised. The journey was filled with battles, setbacks, and moments that made the destination feel impossible. Yet at the end of it all, Scripture delivers a stunning verdict: not one of God's promises failed. Every single one came to pass. That is not a small statement. That is everything. God is not a God who overpromises and underdelivers. He is not a God who changes His mind based on circumstances or forgets what He said. He is faithful, and His faithfulness does not waver based on how long the wait feels to you.

If you are holding onto a promise today and it feels distant, let this be your anchor. The same God who came through for His people then is the same God who is working in your life right now. His track record is perfect. You can trust Him.

Bible Verse
"Not one of all the Lord's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled." - Joshua 21:45

Reflection Question
Is there a promise from God that you have quietly stopped believing, and what would it look like to trust Him with it again today?

Quote
"Not one of the Lord's good promises to Israel failed. Everyone was fulfilled. Why? Because God is faithful. Because God is a promise keeper. God keeps His promises. God does what He says."

Prayer
Lord, thank You that Your promises never fail. Where I have grown discouraged or doubtful, renew my faith and remind me that You are always faithful.
Amen.
