Here at BCBC we strive to love one another and work as the unified body of Christ.

In Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said, "'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments." It is our goal to humbly serve not only other church members but the rest of the world as well.

Just a quick reminder…our school supplies collection ends this Sunday 9/6. Then our collected items will be delivered to our local schools, already in session. Please bring your donations Sunday and drop them in the baskets in the foyer. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS GIVING!!!

This Wednesday, September 2nd is our Men's Breakfast/Supper in the fellowship hall at 6:00pm. After our meal there will be planning for missions projects. All men are invited to come and grow with us!

Wonderful night as 10 of our Bear Creek Baptist youth worshiped with several other local youth groups at Pittsboro Baptist. Thank you Joseph and Amanda for helping chaperone, and thank you parents for allowing your youth to worship Jesus.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME…Road Trip #3!!! What a way to wrap up the summer! God gave us beautiful, clear skies, a gentle breeze, lots of great food, and an awesome time together! Best of all we got a BIG WIN in the last inning!!! The fireworks were spectacular! Go Greensboro Grasshoppers!!! We missed those that couldn’t reschedule due to the rain on Friday, so we must do it again! Thank you God for a fantastic night!!!

What a great day!!!! It all began with the Blessing of the Backpacks as Miss Hillary and Mr. Steve presented our children and youth with something special for their school year to remind them that their church family is praying for them and that God is with them in each of their schools. They were also challenged to be lights for Jesus as they go through each day, and then a special prayer was offered up over all of them.
We came back together at 4pm for ROAD TRIP #2 as we headed to Siler City to visit Mrs. Becky Oldham and many new friends at Senior Living. The children and youth sang GOODNESS OF GOD to these precious folks and visited with them a bit. There are no words for how very special it was!
We ended the trip with a stop at Creative Creamery for the absolute best ice cream around! It was a truly SWEET way to thank these students for being a light for Jesus by using their beautiful voices to encourage others.
Our hearts are full as we begin the week. Thank you Pastor Bob for always encouraging ministry outside our walls!

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND SCHOOL STAFF MEMBERS:
Please bring your backpacks to church this coming Sunday, August 16th, as we pray a special blessing over the backpacks and all of you for a blessed school year. This will happen in our Morning Worship Service at 11:00am.
Also, a reminder that we are collecting School Supplies for our area schools. Collection boxes are placed in the foyer for your donations. This is our August Missions and Ministries project.Thank you in advance for your gifts.
