Grace Chapel

Grace Chapel In July 1884, Mr. Albert Lewis constructed Grace Chapel at Bear Creek.

A rural Episcopal chapel, designed in the Queen Anne style, it was built by Lewis in memory of his first wife; and the monuments in the adjoining Lewis family cemetery. The non-denominational chapel is open for summer Sunday services as well as Thanksgiving and the Sunday before Christmas Eve.

Please join the Bear Creek Grace Chapel Guild this Sunday,, July 19, at 10 a.m., as we honor Mrs. Marjorie Katcavage, at the beginning of our non-denominational service. Guild President Merry Maxwell will speak of Marge’s forty years of service to the chapel and to our community. Kim Wertz, Marge and Chuck’s daughter, will be playing our antique pump organ. This week’s speaker is Mr. Ed Pall, and our hostesses are Heidi Cook and Karen Puscavage.



Hope you have an hour to reflect and enjoy our lovely chapel- a jewel in Bear Creek.
