What a wonderful day at Cedar Point!

Early yesterday morning, chaperones Beth Mann, Staci Cohen, Regina and Russ Krieger boarded a bus with 27 students in grades 7–12 from Congregation Mishkan Or and Temple Emanu El for an unforgettable day of fun, friendship, and Jewish community.

From riding thrilling roller coasters and enjoying great food to spending time together with friends old and new, the day was filled with laughter and memories. We ended our adventure by gathering on the beach for a beautiful Havdalah service, marking the close of Shabbat as the sun set over Lake Erie.

Thank you to our chaperones and all of our teens for making this such a special experience. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Temple Emanu El and create meaningful Jewish moments together.

Dr. Samantha Baskind will share the remarkable story of her great uncle, First Lieutenant Nathan Baskind, a Jewish American soldier who fought at the Battle of Normandy, went missing in action soon after, and whose remains were identified nearly 80 years after his death. Join us for Shabbat at Mishkan Or! On Friday at 6 pm, Cantor Lapin and Rabbi Berlin will lead our weekly Erev Shabbat Service. On Saturday morning, we have two options. Join Rabbi Klein for Torah Study at 9 am, then at 10:30 am, Cantor Lapin and Rabbi Muhlbaum will lead our monthly Shabbat Morning Community Worship, which will be followed by a deluxe kiddush luncheon.

Cantor Kathy and Rommie Sebo had quite a day today as they toured BOTH The Vatican and The Great Synagogue of Rome. They will return to Cleveland this weekend and are looking forward to sharing their Jewish journey throughout Italy and Greece with our CMO community!
