❤️ Congratulations to Lieutenant Eric Filyaw on this well-deserved milestone with the Baytown Police Department!

Lt. Filyaw is not only a dedicated servant of our City of Baytown, but also a valued leader in our St. Joseph Catholic Church community. It was truly an honor and privilege for Fr. Thuc to join today’s ceremony and to stand alongside the men and women who faithfully serve and protect our community.

As Lt. Filyaw begins this new chapter of leadership and service, let us keep him and his family in our prayers:

🙏 Heavenly Father, bless Lieutenant Eric Filyaw. Grant him wisdom in leadership, courage in difficult moments, compassion toward those he serves, and strength to always seek what is just and right. Protect him and his family, and may he always be an instrument of Your peace in our community. Amen.

Before speaking about someone, let us first have the courage to speak with them in charity.

✝️ ARE WE STILL FOLLOWING JESUS?

🙏 Friday Mass & Anointing at St. James House Nursing Home

Today’s Gospel reminds us of what truly matters: “Seek first the Kingdom of God.”

During Mass and the Anointing of the Sick at St. James House, Fr. Thuc shared this simple reminder:

“It is okay that we have made mistakes. It is okay that we have committed sins. It is okay that we have weaknesses and limitations. What matters is that the Lord continues to call us to refocus our lives on Him—again and again.”

God does not ask us to have lived a perfect life. He asks us to keep returning to Him, trusting in His mercy and remaining faithful to His love.

At the end of our earthly journey, so many things we once worried about will no longer matter. What will matter is this: Did we remain faithful to the One who never stopped loving us?

❤️ Seek Him first. Return to Him always. Remain faithful to His love until the end.
