🎥 “What was your first impression of St. Joseph Church?”

A simple question! But it reveals a lot about the journey of two young men discerning the priesthood.

Today, Natalia Charles, our Church Business Manager, sits down with our summer seminarians, Thomas and Michael, to hear their first impressions of St. Joseph Church and their experience serving our parish community this summer.

As they continue their formation toward the priesthood, they share what they have learned, what has inspired them, and how the people of St. Joseph have helped them grow spiritually, personally, and pastorally.

🌿 Parishioners’ Visit 🌿

Our hearts are always filled with gratitude as we spend time visiting some of our longtime parishioners—faithful men and women who have generously given their love, prayers, sacrifices, and service to St. Joseph Church through the years.

Every parish has its history, but it is our parishioners who bring that history to life. Their stories of faith, perseverance and family are treasures that continue to inspire and strengthen our faith community.

For our two seminarians, Thomas and Michael, these visits with Fr. Thuc to our parishioners are an especially important part of their formation to the priesthood. While books and classrooms help prepare them for the priesthood, it is encounters with God’s people that teach them how to love as a shepherd loves his flock. Listening to the experiences of our parishioners helps them grow in compassion, understanding, and pastoral care; qualities that every holy priest should possess.

Please continue to pray for Thomas and Michael as they continue their journey toward the priesthood. May the Lord deepen their love for His people and form them into faithful and compassionate shepherds after the Heart of Jesus.

We also lift up our longtime parishioners in prayer. May the Lord bless them with peace, comfort, and good health. Their witness of faith remains a source of strength and encouragement for all of us. We are deeply grateful for their presence among us and for the countless ways they continue to build up the Body of Christ.

May God bless our parish family—young and old alike—as together we walk the journey of faith, united in Christ’s love. ❤️

🌟 A Joyful Welcome to Our Summer Seminarians! 🌟

This past weekend, the parish family of St. Joseph Catholic Church warmly welcomed Michael Nguyen and Thomas Vo, who will be serving with us throughout the summer as seminarians.

We are grateful for their generous response to God's call and look forward to accompanying them on their journey of faith and formation. Their presence among us is a beautiful reminder that the Lord continues to raise up faithful servants for His Church.

Please join us in welcoming Michael and Thomas, and keep them in your prayers as they learn, serve, and grow alongside our parish community in the months ahead.

We are especially blessed that Fr. Thuc has entrusted our two seminarians with the important mission of training the next generation of altar servers for our parish. Through prayer, learning, and hands-on practice, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to serve at the Lord’s altar.

Please join us in welcoming Thomas Vo and Michael Nguyen, seminarians of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, who are serving their Summer Assignment at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown.
