Happy September! Join us all month for fellowship and community. Come find your people! We worship God together every Sunday at 11:00 AM.
This month we want to celebrate some of the amazing nonprofit organizations of our community! From advocacy, to arts, to education, we are blessed to know so many groups working to make our world a better place. Join us in praying for these organizations and see if there are some you might like to learn more about!
Baytown Area Amateur Radio Club:
K5BAY is a volunteer group of licensed amateur radio operators dedicated to emergency communications, public service, and technical fellowship in and around Baytown. They support our area’s emergency operations with reliable communication when it matters most. They meet at LOVE on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM.
Philanthropic Educational Organization:
P.E.O. was founded in 1869 at Iowa Wesleyan University to support women’s education. Today, P.E.O. groups gather around the world for empowerment and fellowship. The Baytown chapter meets at LOVE on the second Thursday of the month at 10:30 AM.
Baytown Area Retired School Employees Association:
BARSEA is our local chapter of the Texas Retired Teachers Association, which is the largest group of retired educators in our nation. The 96,000 academics of TRTA continue to be involved in local public school education and in the well-being of their communities across Texas. BARSEA meets at LOVE on the third Monday of the month at 10:30 AM.
Marcelous-Williams Resource Center:
The MWRC connects low-income and unhoused families to social services like food stamps, identification papers, shelter referrals, subsidized housing, and more. They provide case management appointments at the Sterling Municipal Library and at Love United Methodist Church every other Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Do you have a chess club, Latin class, dance team, or other humanitarian group that needs a safe and joyful place to gather? We would love to serve as your headquarters as you seek to make the world a better place!
