Matthew chapter 19 is a difficult passage, especially in today’s culture. Yet throughout the chapter, we see Jesus emphasizing God’s care for the vulnerable. First, He defends women who could be harmed by unjust divorce, and later we see His compassion and concern for children.

When Jesus says "70 times 7", He really means that we are to continually forgive, even when it's hard. Settling in unforgiveness is dangerous territory.

An important note from Tim Chester:
a) We can only be reconciled to those who genuinely repent.
b) Forgiveness is not the same as trust.
c) Forgiveness does not mean no accountability.

Even during the time of James' writing, he still encouraged his readers to strengthen their hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. While near doesn't necessarily mean "right now", it does mean that it's the next thing on God's timeline, and we should live like it.

We had an incredible final Wednesday night together last week! What a joy it has been to celebrate these kids and students and witness how much they’ve grown in their faith and relationship with the Lord throughout this year.

We’re so thankful for all God has done, and we can’t wait to see what this summer holds!
