It is with sadden hearts that we lost our beloved Pastor Melvin Watlington Jr. But it is written, Jeremiah 29:11 NIV; For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future . We the Perfect Alternative Baptist Church have been fasting and praying and have at this time formed a search committee with the purpose of finding a Godly man who affirms the authority of Scripture, theologian, one who seeks to understand every passage in its proper context, respectable, hospitable, honorable, faithful, able to rightly divide the word, able to teach, and has a clear vision for the church and it’s people.
