For those of you becoming impatient while waiting on God to answer your prayers:
Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Benefit: Renewal of strength, endurance, spiritual elevation.
Psalm 27:14
“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Benefit: Courage and strengthened heart.
Psalm 37:7
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way…”
Benefit: Peace and avoidance of anxiety over others.
Lamentations 3:25-26
“The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
Benefit: God’s goodness, hope, and ultimate salvation.
Psalm 130:5-6
“I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning.”
Benefit: Strengthened hope, patience, and spiritual focus.
Micah 7:7
“Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.”
Benefit: Assurance that God hears and responds.
James 5:7-8
“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth… so be ye patient, stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”
Benefit: Patience, steadfastness, spiritual preparation
