🔥 THIS IS WHAT CHURCH LOOKS LIKE BEYOND THE WALLS! ❤️

Today, I am one PROUD PASTOR…and one PROUD HUSBAND!

Under the leadership of Lady Melissa Morrieson, Faith & Victory showed up at Berry Gardens in Jersey City and turned LOVE into ACTION! 🙌🏾

Our church family came together for a special POP-UP SHOP for senior citizen residents, freely distributing donated personal toiletries, household essentials, and other needed items.

But here’s what really blessed me…

A large part of our membership sacrificed their Saturday to SERVE! They could have been doing a hundred other things, but instead, they chose to take the love of Jesus OUTSIDE THE WALLS of the local assembly and INTO THE COMMUNITY!

👏🏾 THIS is committed discipleship.
👏🏾 THIS is ministry.
👏🏾 THIS is love with work clothes on!

We love gathering together. We love singing, praising, preaching, teaching, and fellowshipping—but the Church must also GO!

Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” — John 13:35

Lady Melissa gives ALL GLORY TO GOD and sincerely thanks the Faith & Victory family for your tremendous LABOR OF LOVE! ❤️

And Lady Melissa…I’m proud of you! ❤️

Faith & Victory, keep serving. Keep loving. Keep going beyond the walls. Let Jersey City SEE JESUS through us!

Serving Our Community with Love ❤️🙏🏾

We are incredibly grateful for our Church Administration Team for putting faith into action! Through our partnership with Sims Metal, we had the opportunity to bless families in the Jersey City community with, school supplies, canned goods, and prayer devotionals, meeting both practical and spiritual needs.

A special thank you to Former Governor Jim McGreevey for continuing to think of meaningful ways to support and strengthen the Jersey City community. We’re also grateful for our friend, Pastor Gloria Walton, for stopping by and sharing in this moment of service and fellowship!

This is what ministry looks like beyond the four walls of the church: serving, giving, loving, and showing up for our neighbors. May we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever there is a need. ❤️

Share your Light

“The church building can be a training ground, but it should never become a hiding place.

Jesus said:

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”
— Matthew 5:14 KJV

Light doesn’t accomplish its purpose by staying in the room.

Light is valuable because it enters darkness.

A powerful way to say it

Jesus didn’t establish a “come and see” ministry alone. He established a “go and reach” ministry.

He went to the well.
He went to the roadside.
He went into homes.
He went into villages.
He went to the sick.
He went to the rejected.
He went to the sinner.
He went to the hungry.

And ultimately, He went to the cross.

So perhaps the question for the modern church isn’t simply:

“How do we get more people into our building?”

But:

“How do we get more of Christ into our community?”
