**PUBLIC NOTICE: Community District Meetings **

This June, Mayor Joshua Brown will be hosting a series of community district meetings across Bay Minette alongside City Council members and the City’s new Police Chief.

These meetings are designed to give residents a chance to:
✔️ Share concerns and ask questions
✔️ Hear updates about the community
✔️ Meet the new Police Chief and City leadership
✔️ Connect directly with their Councilmember

Community conversations like this haven’t happened in many years, and the City is excited to create more opportunities for residents to stay informed, involved, and connected.

Each district meeting will have its own Facebook event with location and time details listed below 👇

As you know, South Alabama summers can bring unpredictable thunderstorms and sudden downpours, sometimes leaving standing water and localized flooding behind.

To help residents prepare, sandbags are available for pick-up at the Public Works Building:

We are also asking residents to help us identify drainage problem areas throughout the city. If you are experiencing major flooding or standing water in your yard, please:

📸 Take photos of the area
📧 Email them to: [email protected]
🏠 Be sure to include your address or location of the standing water in the email

This information will assist Public Works as the City begins GIS drainage mapping efforts in the coming weeks.

Thousands of Alabama voters may need to take an additional step in order to cast ballots in the May 19th primary.

Alabama voters who are registered but have not voted recently may be listed as “inactive.” About 61,200 voters are considered inactive in Jefferson County alone.
