What We Believe
•Security of the Believer (Perseverance of the Saints) means that anyone who is truly saved cannot lose their salvation. Ephesian 1:12-14, 2:8-9, 4:30; Phillipians 1:6
•Women Preachers are not taught in scripture from the point of representing the office of a Pastor. Every believer is to share the Word but this does not place them in a Pastoral office. I Timothy, Chapters 2 and 3;Titus 2:1-8
•Tithing is God's method for church financing. Malachi 3:8-10; Proverbs 3:9; II Corinthians 9:6
•Homosexuality and Lesbianism are an abomination according to the Word of God. Leviticus 18:22, 23; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:18-32
•Adultery and Common Law Marriage are sins according to the Word of God. Exodus 20:14, Matthew 5:27,28,32; Proverbs 6:32, 33
•Revelations are final. If it is new it is not true! Hebrews 1:1-
Deacons assist pastors in community outreach by ministering the gospel outside the church, visiting the sick and homebound, recruiting and receiving new members. Within a congregation, deacons set examples of compassion and stewardship. The deacons could be responsible for managing the church property. This would include making sure the place of worship is prepared for the worship service, and cleaning up. The elders (clergy ordained ministers)shall oversee the financial business of the church (Acts 11:30), it may be best left to the deacons to handle the day-to-day matters. This would include collecting and counting the offering, delivering the offering to the bank. Deacons should be available to help in variety of ways so that the elders are able to concentrate on teaching and shepherding the church. A Baptist pastor has many roles to fulfill within the church. He is the preacher, head administrator, and an evangelist. The pastor is also a servant leader and responsible for maintaining the spiritual edification of the congregation. The Baptist pastor performs head administrative duties by overseeing other church staff, deacons, greeters, church secretary and youth and music ministers, Sunday-school teachers. The pastor also serves as CEO lead moderator of church business and business meetings.
