John 21. - “Lovest thou me?”
And on the first day of the week the ladies came to Jesus’ tomb to anoint his body but the tomb was empty. Jesus had conquered death!! The boulder wasn’t just rolled away to let our Lord out;-it was also rolled away so our faith could enter in.
Jesus was not the victim, he was the victor. Because of the resurrection we are also victors. That same power that caused all of this, works in us too if you are a born again believer.
Welcome today Victor. Thanks be to the rising up of our Savior and Lord! In Mark 16:7 the angel told the ladies to go and tell the disciples AND Peter that He would see them again in Galilee. The only disciple mentioned by name was Peter. None of the other gospel’s mention his name, only Mark. Jesus wanted Peter to know he was still loved and needed. He was addressed personally by name even though he denied his Lord 3 times.
Jesus also knows our name and even through our failures we are not a number or a statistic. He knows OUR name! Jesus is calling you today to tell you of his great love for you like Peter, personally.
Peter denied our Lord 3 times when our Lord asked Peter 3 times, “Peter, do you love me?” He commanded him to feed and attend His sheep. Jesus was reaffirming His love and steadfastness. He was calling Peter back to ministry &
work in His kingdom, responsibly.
As we approach this blessed event we hear Jesus call us by name to tell others about His great love and forgiveness. He is still the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to God but by Him.
John 14:6.
May we be workers in His harvest for souls!

He received 39 stripes because 40 was known to kill a man.
They wanted him alive.
They grabbed handfuls of his beard and hair and pulled it out by the roots.
They wanted him alive.
They kicked, punched, tortured and spit on him for hours.
Until there wasn't a single spot on his body not covered in blood.
They still wanted him alive.

They shoved a crown of thorns down on his head so hard it drove deep into his skin.
They wanted him alive.
After hours of being beaten, mocked, whipped, flogged, and tortured, they made him walk with a heavy cross. They made him carry it.
A rough piece of wood with splinters digging into fresh wounds.
Again they wanted him alive.

They wanted him to feel every ounce of pain they could possibly give.
He had to feel all of it in order to heal us.
Crucifixion was historically one of the cruelest most torturous deaths a human being could face.
Hours upon hours of extreme torture. Torture most of us can not even mentally comprehend because the cruelty is so extreme.
It isn't something our minds can possibly fathom.
We celebrate Easter with pastel colors, happy children hunting eggs, and chocolate bunnies.
Truth is there was absolutely nothing happy about the day Jesus died. It was cruel, bloody, and vile.

He could have stopped all of it.
He could have called every angel in heaven to demolish every person standing and shouting "Crucify Him!" But He didn't.
He loved and forgave them.
He knew in order to have a Sunday you have to have a Friday.
He knew in order to have true joy you have to carry your cross.
He felt everything that day.
He felt how your heart broke into pieces when you had to watch your baby die.
He felt how heavy your life was when you were staring down the barrel of a gun wanting to end it all.
He felt the shame and guilt of that addiction taking over your life.
He felt the abuse you endured by someone you thought loved you.
He was there through that divorce when you felt alone.
He even carried the weight of the heavy burden you have felt since your spouse died and life just seems empty since.

On that cross he loved the outcasts, the murderers, the sinners and the saints.
He leveled every playing field and said ALL of you are worth it.
He knew he had to carry and endure the cross so we could be set free.
He never promised the cross you carry in this life would not be heavy. His wasn't.
His promise is that Sunday is coming. Redemption is coming.

No matter how heavy Friday is. Financially, emotionally, mentally, or physically.
Friday is so heavy.
That cross is weighing you down and you are about to crumble under its weight.
His promise was simply this.
He would never make you carry it alone.
He would walk with you every single step.
What kind of king would step down from his throne in Heaven for this?

Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God would. And did. For you.
He did all of it for you and me.
Oh yes it is beyond heavy.
So heavy sometimes you do not think you can take even one more step.
But smile, and look up, because Sunday is coming.

Come, Holy Spirit.

Fill us with your fire and love.
May your power transform us so we can transform others through your perfect love.

In Jesus name, amen.

This is Laminin.
These are the molecules made of protein that literally hold your body together. Skin, muscle, everything. Without it you would fall apart literally.

Now look at the shape of these molecules. A cross🕇

How amazing is it that God knew we would need the cross to hold us together when we were created.
He knew we were sinners.
He knew we would need a Savior. He knew his only Son Jesus would go to the cross to die and save us, and without that cross and these molecules, we would fall apart.

Molecular biologists call Laminin “the glue of the body”, because without it, as stated above, our bodies would literally fall apart.

The truth is, without Jesus Christ and what he did for us on the cross, our entire lives would fall apart.

The CROSS holds it all together.

"He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
-Colossians 1:17

Superstar NBA player Steph Curry has been very vocal about his faith in Jesus Christ. He gained a lot of attention when he started writing his favorite Bible verse on his shoes with a sharpie… “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Phil. 4:13)

Curry has 4 NBA Championships and is currently the all-time leading 3-point shooter in NBA history. He also has a $1 Billion lifetime contract with Under Armor. But for Steph, it’s nothing compared to his relationship with Jesus. “I know I have a place in Heaven waiting for me because of Him, and that’s something no earthly prize or trophy could ever top,” Curry said. “I know why I play the game, and it’s not to score 30 points a night, but it’s to use the stage I’m on. I’ve been put here for a specific purpose: to be a witness and to share my testimony as I go through it.”

Well said Stephen.
It's all about Jesus.💯

Please pray for Pastor Dave and Cindy Kingsbury as she has failing health with the possibility of hospice being called in.
We need to see her healing in Jesus name.
And pray for Pastor Dave as he faces a massive mountain of medical bills.
Every single prayer counts and any kind of help you can possibly give.
Thank you all very much and God bless.🙏🏼🙏🏼

50 years ago today my Dad, Pastor Dwight, knelt down at an old assembly line in GM in Michigan, a sinner, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and stood up redeemed and set free.

Since then he has always been faithful no matter what has come at him.
Reaching out to the lost, loving people, and preaching the word of God and the life changing love and forgiveness and power of Jesus.

He is one of the main reasons I know Jesus is real because I've seen him live it and never let down, never be ashamed, and never stop proclaiming and lifting up the name of Jesus.

Happy Spiritual Birthday
Pastor Dad,

I love you,

Ryan
