Father Paul Skierka, a priest from the Congregation of St. Pius V, celebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Bay City, MI today at Holy Family Mission. Father celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass, the Tridentine Rite. Father’s sermon was on Catholic Charity, drawing on the Epistle from today’s Mass. Father also told the story of the foundation of a religious order dedicated to ransoming Catholics that had been taken captive and sold into slavery by the Saracens. Eventually this led to the Feast we celebrated today, Our Lady of Ransom. He reminded us of the great Love and Charity Our Lord and Our Lady have for each of us.

Holy Family Mission is preparing for Christmas. We won’t be able to have Mass on Christmas Day. We do have Mass on Sunday the 26th.
