Sometimes when we fail God, our first instinct is to hide from Him. We feel ashamed and maybe we make excuses. We start to pull away and the farther we drift, the more distant God seems.
But John 21 gives us a beautiful picture: Jesus was waiting on the shore. Peter had failed Jesus, but Jesus was still pursuing Peter.
Maybe you’ve been running from God because of something you’ve done. Maybe you feel like you’ve gone too far. Come back.
Jesus isn’t calling you to pretend you never failed. He’s calling you to receive His grace, be restored, and follow Him again.
